Free Dining Question

I know that even if your first night is the last night of free dining you get it applied to your whole vacation, but what about the opposite? If the last 2 nights of our stay are during the FD promo will the begining of our stay be covered?

Nope...It goes by check in day.

You can do a split stay. Say you are going for a week. The first 5 days can be one reservation, and the beginning day of FD can be a whole new reservation for 2 days. But you would be required to buy tickets with that reservation, and wouldn't be able to pick them up a week in advance.
You would also only have 2 days of free dining (it actually goes by number of nights during the promo.)

No. You can not get free dining being it's effective date. You could get it for those last 2 days if you made a separate reservation and made the required ticket purchase. You'd have to do the math to see if it would be worth it (likely no because of the ticket prices).
