Is it possible to add your 2 year old to the DDP? We are seriously considering it since he turns 3 at the end of the trip and he is quite the eater.

If you add him to the DDP, then you'll have to say he is 3, therefore, requiring you to purchase park admission for him. Honestly, he eats for free at Table Service buffets, so plan some of those, and just pay out of pocket for counter service kids meals and kids meals at the other table service places. It would be a lot cheaper.

There are a lot of buffet/character options that I'd bet he'll enjoy, and kids meals aren't that pricey. Plus, the dining plan gives you a lot of food, so you may even be able to share some of your meals with him. Many a time, I couldn't finish my meals!

Correct. If you add your 2 year old they have to list them as 3 and then you have to buy them the same type ticket you are buying. Not sure if there is a savings after paying for a ticket for someone who does not need it. I guess you could just save the ticket for when they do need it, but you still have to front the money now. We usually just pay OOP for the meals we do buy our grand daughter. It also depends if you plan to visit any buffets, since your toddler eats free at buffets. Guess you need to crunch the numbers. Kids meals are not very expensive (IMHO) at WDW. And you are always welcome to just buy them a side idea. We sometimes will just get chicken soup as our appetizer and let the GD start with that.
