I looked everywhere for this answer but wasn't sure how to word it so I had no luck in finding my answer.

Here is my question. My family (DH, DD, & Me) has a free dining package booked. DD14 may not be making the trip due to School and not being sure of her Marching band schedule. Since its still unclear or not I would like to just leave her on the package in case it does work out. If she doesn't arrive with us will there be a penalty? I am not worried about her ticket, since I will just put that up and take her when she gets a break from school, But I was just wondering if there would be any issues with our package if she didn't make the trip?

This is our first time with the Dining package :) I have been an AP holder for the last several years and decided to renew this year with free dining, so I feel like a fish out of water.

There's no penalty if you keep her on the package. As you said, you can use her ticket on a future trip. You and the others in the room will be able to use her dining credits for additional meals since the credits are pooled to the room and not individuals. Hopefully, she'll be able to go.

If you decide to take her off the reservation and it's before the 45 day deadline for packages there is no penalty. If you are within 45 days of arrival there will be a $50 change fee assessed since you'll be reducing the total cost of your package. If you remove her within 2 weeks of arrival there is an additional $15 paperwork fee assessed.
