Hello everyone.

I am assuming if you booked your reservation with a TA, only they can change your reservation and add on the free dining promotion.

I was wondering if anyone has booked in the past or has their current reservation booked with a Travel Agent, if they can tell me how fast they were notified this has occurred. I can only imaging how busy they are today but I was just wondering what the norm is before I begin to freak out we will miss it. And it does not help when husband is equally impatient to hear if he is able to keep his wallet a little fatter. :woohoo:

Thanks for any info you may have.

When I book through a TA I use a local TA, I drop in and have them make the change while I'm standing/sitting in front of them. That way there's no confusion and I know it's done quickly.

Called my travel agent today to have the changes made to our reservations and should hear from her by the end of the day. She has been our TA for 20 years now and I know she will get it done.

From what I read it looks like you're expecting the TA to just make the adjustment on their own. For some Disney specialist TA's this might be the case, but if you're using a TA that does other destinations as well, I'd definitely give them a call and touch base with them to ask them to look into the free dining if they haven't already. It might not hurt to shoot off a quick e-mail or give a phone call to your TA even if it is a Disney specialist just to touch base and help calm your own nerves. That's why they're there.

She is a DU agent and over the weekend, we were corresponding through email about the promotion and she did say she would apply it since the day we are checking in fall in under the criteria. I was just wondering usually how long it would take to show on our reservation that the promo has been added. My worst trait is that I am inpatient and a worrier :sad2: I just hate to be "that" client who keeps emailing, you know.

Ok, I get it now. I'm sure she took care of it, especially since you were just in contact about it. Probably is a busy day, and it is possible you might be near the back of the contact list for her since you'd already discussed it.:confused3 Either way, I hope you hear from her soon.:thumbsup2
Good luck and have a great trip.

If it's worrying you that much, go ahead and contact the travel agent and ask if they got it done.

it's correct that the travel agent has to make the change, you can't do it yourself.

I'm an agent and I am just finally able to get through to Disney...the line was busy till now and there is over a 45 min wait. Just give your TA a call if you are worried, but it may take some time for her to get through. I know agents from our office got through and some couldn't.

My TA and I have been talking about it via email for a couple of days - making sure she knew what I wanted.

I sent her an email around 1 this afternoon to see if she had any luck. She did, and we are all set!
