Free Dining Promo

Hi All

Can anyone please tell me if i can take part in the free dining Promotion at WDW, if i booked with DVC points,

The promotion has just extended to cover the dates i'll be visiting October 3-8.

If I can take part do i need to cancel my current reservation and make a new one to qualify, im in a studio in AKL.

nope - not ever.

"free" dining is for rooms booked at rack rate - DVC rooms on pts are discounted and not eligible.

You would need to cancel your current reservation and book it through CRO and pay full price for the room, plus buy at least a 2 day ticket for each person. AKV studios start at $325 plus tax (value) or $470 plus tax (savannah view) for those dates.

We are taken care of. We get approximately 60% off rooms over the life of the contract. Can't expect free dining on top of that.

You really should check over at touringplans.com and wdwtoday podcasts.

To get free dining you have to pay rack rates (in other words no discounts).

If you book rack rate and get "free" dining, it is barely break even versus the discounted room rates that are out there. In fact, my last cash stay at grand Floridian (pre DVC) taking "free" dining would have cost $11 MORE per night than booking at the discount and paying for the dining plan out of pocket (which is what we did).
