Free Dining Pin for December!

So we got a free dining pin for December... YAY Does anyone know if you can choose the Quick Service Dining plan instead of the regular one??? I thought they would be all for it since it is cheaper, but didn't know for sure. Also if I would get stuck with the regular one can I use the Table Service credit for a Quick Service Meal? I was talking to a CM on the phone and she said no, but I know for sure that I was told yes before.

Don't try to switch for the quick service plan! You CAN always use a table service meal for a counter service meal. The main difference is that with the quick service plan you would get 2 snack credits per day and a free resort mug whereas w/ the reg dining plan you only get 1 snack per day and no mug included. BUT... If I were you, I would keep the reg dining plan and just switch out the table service meals for counter service ones. If you're trying to keep costs down, just pick some of the TS places that are more economical so that your tips won't be as costly. But if they are going to give you free dining in Dec, take the better plan. JMHO... but I'm sure you'll choose the right one for you.

No you can not downgrade. The pin is for the Basic dining plan.You can pay the difference to upgrade to deluxe, but you can not downgrade

I was also told that some folks have gotten the code for November as well. Has anyone got it for this time? Could you tell me when the free dining is in December? We will be there November 28-December 6th is this in the time frame? If so I will keep my fingers crossed I get a pin code.Congrats to you!

We have used our table service credits for quick service. We have also had left over quick services and we got to use that for several drinks and snacks.

Hopefully if you get a pin then they will let you apply it to your stay. Are you going to do the MCVCP when you go? We haven't decided yet.

So-- I'm excited I finally got a PIN, but sad we can't use it

The Free Dining Pin that I got for Dec was Free QS dining at Value Resorts and Basic Dining at Mods. Someone here said that they were able to upgrade to the Basic Plan at Pop, but didn't say how much the difference.

I would think you could get the QS plan at any level of resort, just call and ask, if you don't like the answer, call back, that is what I do, until I get a consistant answer or the one I want.

It was sent as an e-mail only to certain people. I am guessing since this is the second round, it might become a public code, but who knows

I will have to check mine again but I dont think it said what dining plan it was. If I forward mine to your email or vice versa can you tell me if they are the same... I really wanted to try the QS plan.

Congrats! We got that code a week or two ago and booked 2 rooms at Pop for mid-December. Saved us a ton of money!

edited to add: the one we got was for the regular dining plan. We booked Pop and have the regular dining plan.

This is the pin I got in my email! I couldn't believe it. I almost deleted it! It will just be me (29) and my sis(28) going in dec. I should still be able to use the pin right? I think the email just said disney dining plan. I'll have to look at the email again. Congrats to everyone else who got one.

The pin code is only sent to select individuals, it is tied to your name and address. pins are no interchangeable meaning you can not share them..... there is no rhyme or reason to it.
After awhile sometimes they release it as a public code but as of yet thet has not happened.
