Free Dining or 35% off Room

We are thinking about planning a trip for the summer. WE are flexible with dates and don't know if it's a better deal to use a PIN code I got for 35% off villa resorts or stay at a villa resort during free dining?? Any thoughts? Thanks.....

Go with the one that will save you the most money. If you do the dining plan, and it saved you more money, go with it!!! If the 35% saves you more, go with it. Personally, Id go with the dining plan

Do the calculations both ways and see which is overall cheaper. We're 2 adults and 2 children so the 35% off would probably be cheaper than the dining plan. If you're 5 adults and were going to do the dining plan anyway, that may work out cheaper.

Generally with the deluxe resorts, the % off code is the best. But figure it out both ways. Even if you use the % off code, you can still add the dining plan to the reservation (but you pay for it). It still might come out cheaper.

Since you say your dates are flexible, if you can go after Aug. 15, there is a general public code for 40% off the deluxe villas.

I had a 40% off pin and we're using it to stay in a one-bedroom villa. I decided this was better for us than free dining. We will use the kitchen for breakfast most mornings and to bring snacks to the parks. We will likely cook a few lunches and/or dinners in the villa. Plus, we have a TIW card that gives us 20% off most table service meals.

We used the dining plan once and I'm not a big fan. We tend to prefer appetizers over dessert and we drink some alcohol. I felt very restricted on the dining plan. I know many people love the dining plan but I definitely saved money by using the pin...

if you go out to Disney's website, you can click on "special offers". Then just choose one and price out your trip (using the "free dining".) then go back and price it out using the discount code....this will give you an exact pricing of both options, then you can make a good choice as to which works better for your family.

For us, we are staying at the GF, so the 40% off pin saved us $ 1300. There's only 3 of us, so the free dining would only save us $ 652. So you can see that the 40% was a way better deal. If you have a few kids, you might find that free dining is better.... but try pricing it out on the website like you were going to actually book your trip w/ those discounts. It's right under "special offers". It helped me ALOT.
