Free Dining Option

I will be doing an internship for the DCP from Auugust-January, so my parents are wanting to come to Disney for Christmas. For the free dining plan option, Pop is only available from 12/21-12/26. They would like to stay through the 27 or 28. Is there any way to extend an extra day after its booked, or what should we do about this?

You can book the extra days with your cast member discount I think but it won't be the free dining offer for the last two days. Your discount will probably be better anyway!

Did you call and ask? I thought I read somewhere that as long as your start date was within the FD period, the whole stay was eligible for the offer. This was a few years back. I am not sure if the policy has changed.

That is still the policy, but there has to be availability for each day for the promotion. I just looked at the availability for that time period for POP, and there are no rooms, FD or otherwise.

If they want to stay past the 26th, they'll have to change resorts, and their free dining will end on their Pop check-out day. You need to make reservations soon as that is THE most popular week at WDW. If that free dining is really the most important, you need to grab it NOW and plan for those last two days in the next few weeks.

If they decide to do a split stay, I would check out a day or so earlier then they might be able to get FD for the second stay if there is availability.

But then you would end up with two FD offers needing two sets of tickets. I don't think that will be the most economical choice.

If you really want free dining at Pop, I would book 12/21 - 12/26 and then book room-only for the last two nights. Or, if you are eligible, see if you can get a CM discount for their entire stay.

I get 50% off resort as long as I am staying with them, so could we buy an extra day or two park passes( under the package) and just reserve a separate resort stay after the 26th?

Yes! You can have a ticket longer than the stay
