We had to buy 4 one day passes, two for each package for the both of us, as we have two 10 day ressies. I understand that the tickets are encoded on our room keys. Is it possible to get them turned into actual paper tickets as I am planning on using two of them toward our next AP's and would like to give the other two to my daughter to use for their trip when we all go to DW next summer. Is that possible? If not, why and if so, how? :sunny:

Thanks for your expertise.

So how do you facilitate the change to paper? We also want to use the one-day hoppers for the purchase of annual passes--but not on this September trip as our annual passes are good through November right now.

The way I understand it is that you need to keep your room key safe until you need to turn it into an AP. They will not change them into paper tickets as far as I know. Also, the keys have your name on them they are only good for you. You can get an AP with your name on it but will not be able to purchase a ticket for your daughter. At least that is my understanding.

Mickey1122, is it possible to change the tickets from plastic to paper ones?

Let me rephrase what I said, it was a little confusing. If you have one day admission on the cards, you can use their worth toward annual passes or other passes of higher value. They let you consolidate onto one pass for plus features, so I am inclined to think that your daughter should be fine. I am not sure about changing plastic to paper. We have never done this, besides the act of using room key one day admission toward annuals, but it seems like something that guest services might be able to do. I hope this helps.

Mickey1122, heck my questions are usually confusing as well. :)

According to Zurg'swife, who is usually right on, I cannot let my daughter use my one day passes because they are coded onto the room key and cannot be seperated. (correct??)

I guess we are set for the next 5-6 trips as I will have to use one set of tickets for one AP and the other for the following years. Thankfully we are not apt to lose our love for the Mouse in this time period. :thumbsup2

It is a bit scary that EVERYTHING is tied to those flimsy room keys though. Luckily I am not prone to losing things and my dh does not care to have charging rights or carry a card at all. He hates stress and keeps his life as stressfree (lassitude to the highest degree) as possible. Lassitude sounds ever so much nicer than that other 'L" word. :rotfl2:
