I used another card for initial down payment, but have since paid 700 towards trip on Disney visa. Our travel agent told me the entire balance has to be paid on Disney visa to get the discount....which is accurate????

Just $200 has to be paid on the visa when you book early during the visa promo.

I'm not exactly sure what you are asking. Do you mean the same promo code as the Visa card? Not sure of the codes, but you won't need to know the code when you call. The CM will get it for you.

She was telling me I would have to have the payment refunded (call my credit union and find out how they handle this refund because we've since canceled that card) & then rebook. But I would have to have all the other money refunded too....it seemed like such a hassle....

That's exactly what I was wondering I am using a TA so I wanted to make sure she had the correct code. I love my TA but I am also a slight OCD control freak and terrified that something will go wrong

I usually do all the trip planning myself but DH suggested using a TA so I wouldn't be so stressed out...I think it back fired lol

I just had the most magical conversation with a cm I could have had! I was on the phone for an hour and it was like talking to an old friend. I gave him the PIN and I could tell he was seeing something "off". He asked if I was sure I had called out the right PIN. I read them off again and he said, that works!
Now, the POFQ was booked for the FD promo, but I was able to switch to CBR and get a pirate room for almost the exact same price!!!

I wasn't going to tell my dad that I needed him to go. I was going to make his package deal sound as sweet as possible and then let him decide without feeling like he had to go in order for me to go. (Make sense?) My husband said we would still save money if we paid for part of their vacation and they went vs just paying for our dining. So I looked it up and they can go for $1,069 if my sister and her bf go and split the room. (5 nights) So, I'm still going to let them know and hope that we can all go together as a great big ole happy family. I know they want to go; I think they just don't know what to expect in price so they don't look into it.

I am hoping that more people here can talk to a cm like I did, because he honestly tried so hard and seemed so tickled for me. He made my day, week, month, CHRISTMAS! Now I get to tell the hubby when he gets home and the best part is...I am more grateful for what I have.

If you had a room only reservation and wanted to add free dining, then you would have to cancel your reservation in order to make it a package, which means you are adding tickets. When you go from a room only to a package, then they refund any payment you have made on your original reservation and then charge you $200 on your new package. If it is less than 45 days, then yes, you would have to pay in full.

Only CRT requires 2 TS credits. Your other ADRs require only 1 TS credit. Have you tried seeing how much it would cost if you upgraded to the regular dining plan (1 TS, 1 QS & 1 snack per person per night) instead of the deluxe? The upgrade from QS to regular is WAY cheaper than the upgrade to deluxe. Only reason to upgrade to deluxe is if you have either a lot of ADRs that require 2 TS credits and/or you are planning 2 TS meals per day. It doesn't look like you're doing 2 TS meals per day so you might come out better just upgrading to the regular dining plan - even if you can switch your CRT ressie to a date covered by FD. If you did, you could try switching one of the less expensive restaurants to your non-FD date and pay OOP for that one.

Quick question on ADRs. We just booked airfare for an October trip but are following the advice to hold off on making the reservation. Can I still make ADRs now and just link them when we do make the room reservation with (fingers crossed!) free dining??

Not only can you do that, you really should. The earlier you can book your ADRs, the better your chances of getting the ones you want. If you're planning on making any ADRs that require either ddp or pre-payment (like CRT), you might want to go ahead and book your package with a DDP included so you won't have to pay in advance. Then just call to have the FD discount applied when offer opens. (That's what we did when we made our Sep reservations.) If it doesn't work out, you can always cancel any ADRs you don't want/need and cancel the DDP as well if you decide to pay OOP for meals instead.

Your entire balance does not have to be paid with your DV card to get the discount. You only need to have at least a $200 payment on your Disney card - and that's only if you want to have the FD discount applied during the early DV cardholder offer rather than wait for the GP offer 3 days later. With a GP offer, you don't need a DV card at all.

The Nemo suites are usually very limited. You need to call ASAP on the 29th if you have a Disney Visa or debit or on the 1st if you don't. Phone lines open at 7am EST. Best of luck!

Thanks! I've gone ahead and made 4 out of the 6 we would get on the ddp. We were able to get all of the ones we really wanted so I'm happy! We usually don't do any of the prepaid ones so we should be all set there!

And while I'm asking questions, I've seen a few posts where POFQ wasn't available under the pin. Does this usually mean it won't be available to the general public either? There are standard view rooms available for our dates on the website now.
