I haven't read all the msgs about KI but we are excited to hear about a new coaster.

I seen that they are taking Son of Beast down and the new coaster will go there?

Are we to assume the new one will be a wooden coaster as well (reusing some of the wood)?

Do you know what feature will make it record breaking? My DH is excited to know.

We live about 3 1/2 hrs from Kings Island - my 2nd date with my DH was there (22 years ago), so it is sort of a special place for us and we go back every couple of years. :)

If Son Of Beast is being torn down I will jump for joy! We are in Columbus and try to go to KI every Summer. SOB is not something I will miss!

So what do you guys do for a living? We gotta pay for these trips somehow, right? :cool1:

I live in CT and I work for a company that makes stuff for the military and space, but that's all I'm allowed to say. :(

I am originally from Indiana, but have lived in Ohio for almost 13 years. Though, I do live in Indiana about 40+ days a year. :rotfl: going back for 4 or 5 days not this week, but the next. One last trip home before the kids start school. :goodvibes

Oh, gotcha. Both Midwest--kinda:)

I'm from burrillville,RI. Which right now happens to be the most popular town in the country at this time due to the release of the new movie The Conjuring. It's based on a home in my hometown about 10 min from my house.

A 2nd east coast Disney fan!!

The name says it all. Librarian.

Well, I'm probably a little old to still be considered a girl, but you don't always think ahead when you set up an online alias.

We paid around $3000 for a family of 4 and that includes airfare.

Not bad a tall, We are a family of 3 and we are well over $3000 now. Let's see, $2450ish for Disney for 7 nights, $600 for airfare, $320 for towncar to and from Bradley International Airport, $150 for pirates and pals, gunna be another $80+ for Wishes Desert Party, $149 for photopass+. Am I forgetting anything? Like I said (MGM: Mighty Greedy Mouse)

So what are y'all's number one go to counter service in each park, for lunch?

I can start....

MK - Colombia Harbor House
EP - Sunshine Seasons
AK - Flame Tree BBQ
HS - I've yet to find one here that flips my switch, so I usually end up at Comissary.

I'm going to push the limits too and post here.

MK- CHH
EP - Sunshine Seasons
HS - Starring Rolls - usually for cupcakes
AK - Flame Tree BBQ or Pizzafari in the summer for the AC

That's awesome! Not bad at all for a family! Yeah, no free dining or ro discount for us this year, plus my DS is 13, so he counts as an adult. Flights went up this year, too. We used to be able to round trip from Philly for about $200 each (Southwest). This year, it is about $300 each.

I got lucky and stalked Southwest everyday. Landed tickets from CT for 200 round trip per person, same as I paid last year in March!

I'm a west coaster (Mukilteo) going to the world for 2nd time with the family. We,ve been to the land many times!

Yeah, OUCH! 10, kills me but its a lot cheaper than airfare! Not fond of flying anyway.

When I was younger my parents insisted on driving (my dad's was a truck driver and hate's flying) and that is around 36 hours each way.

That's pretty good, I can't seem to find return flight for less than 165 one way. Got my flights going down for 122. I know Sunday flights can be more expensive but of all the Sundays in November, the 17th seems to be the most expensive. Still waiting it out a bit longer.
