Gettin up early!!! Woohoo!!!

:dancer:

Hi All!! (first time poster here :wave2: ) I am having such a problem figuring out how much I can possibly save with this FD deal. (yes I am a newbie ;) ) I know that you guys can help me figure this out!

I am booked already at POR in the Royal rooms standard view. I thought I could figure it out just by looking up the price of the room + tickets without dining and then subtracting what I have already paid from that. But if I do two price quotes, one with dining and one without and subtract, I get the "price" of dining right? So I can subtract THAT from my balance due right? But doing it those two ways gives me two totally different amounts that will be due....

help?!?! :confused3 I think I might just be having a slow morning and am unable to common sense my way out of this lol!

Some wise person on here will answer you soon about how to figure that out but I just wanted to say welcome!!!:wave2:pixiedust:

Just price out your trip without the Dining then subtract that figure from your current package cost to see how much FD will save you. If you booked before the ticket price increase you will pay the new higher price when you modify your current reservation for FD.

Deduct what you have paid from the new amount calculated without dining to get what you balance will be

Yeah..thats definitely a drag...BIG TIME! BUT,if location is that important/don't want to make changes on the fly etc...keep what you have...anyone who really wants/needs FD,will make the necessary changes in a heartbeat, even if it requires a real pain in the neck to accomplish.Good-luck,and enjoy your vacation!!!

Yes, that's pretty much it. We may have to postpone the trip, but I do not think my husband will consider going w/o a discount, and RO is not enough for us compared to FD. We are very flexible on dates, unfortunately, being a family of 5, we are more limited on room type in our price range.
I can't wait to call tomorrow and am hoping for FD at POR, but if it doesn't happen, I guess we've waited this long to go to Disney, a little longer won't kill us...yes, I know the horrors, my kids have never been to Disney! LOL!

Not that we don't all want everyone else to get what they are hoping for too, but he CM's are probably comparing us to the "Mine" birds about now....
"Mine!, mine!, mine!, mine! LOL!

Good luck tomorrow everyone!

On sunday night it would be RO with no park tickets so are only option would be DTD and I had a ressie for planet hollywood with the dining plan, but if we have to pay oop for it then we will. I never thought about the following day with our park plans. We have to be at MK by 8 a.m. for our ADR :(

PIN offer did just exclude LM rooms however as per Black (and at this point I trust 100%) AOA in its entirety is excluded from the GP FD as well as POFQ, ASMO, GF and a couple others.

I'd rather be 99% and have those resorts included though....just sayin'.

You know I'm a little. ...no I'm alot ticked off right now!:furious: So if the free dining comes out tomorrow then I have to make TWO separate reservations which means that even though we've paid for preferred location (and our disney balance is paid off)...we may not get that location:confused3. I would have to book a RO for the first night...check out the next morning...check BACK in under fd and hope that we get the same location we had??? That's bullcrap!! My husband will be po'd when I tell him this:( Disney needs to figure their system out because I don't agree with this. I paid for preferred and I expect to get that and I will raise a stink during our RE check in if I don't get the location I paid for!! And we can't do anything on Sunday night because of this!
And that is also going to screw up my dining reservations for the week!

I don't understand how it will mess up your dining reservations. Your resort reservations are separate from dining and would only change if you request them to change. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

I can see it now, I'll be getting up every hour after midnight just to see if the WDW website has been updated with the new fall fd promo, LOL.

Most times in the past the website does not reflect the "New" offers until the phone lines have been open for 1-2 hours

I'm up at 5am every morning regardless, I start work at 630. :surfweb:

I was just wondering if I call a few minutes ahead of 7, if I'd be on hold until 7am, or if I would go through the whole process of punching in my info only to get a recording to call back later.

Does anyone know?

I am an expert this week on calling in...:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2: If you call at 6:59am you get the "We are not open yet.....blah blah blah" At 7am, it rings right into the "Welcome......"

Hope that helps!:)

Hi Everyone. This Oct 19-26 is my family's first trip to WDW. (Me, DH, and DS (7). This FD has me a little confused. :confused3 I've been reading through the posts and am having a hard time figuring out what I'm supposed to do. I already have reservations at POP and am on the regular dining plan and have my ADR's. Should we be switching to a moderate hotel or just pay for the upgrade and stay at POP? Also, do I have to cancel my existing res. at POP and place a new one to get the FD? Thanks for any help you can give! :goodvibes

Just wanted to say Welcome!!!:wave2:

:offtopic: But I didn't happen to score a Wishes Fireworks dessert ressie. So excited!:cool1:

You did or didn't? We did this the 1st year they started having this and said I'd never do it again.....I just booked on 10/21 since it is a MK day for us and it will be my DD 15th bday!

If you call before 7 there is a message saying they are closed, doesn't even give the option of punching anything in.

You would have to pay for PH, but you can pick up park tickets early at guest services.

well I guess at this point I am willing to pick my poison. For my 2 year old daughter that is... Nov 16-23 FD for Nemo is not going to happen. I have tried with 4 different pins to no avail. Still hoping for a RO discount but if not so be it. Cannot wait to see my daughters face in our Nemo room... Good luck to all tomorrow and discounts and FD for all.pixiedust:pixiedust:pixiedust:

i will actually be giving up a Nemo room tomorrow! Maybe this will help you out?

Thanks so much! Got it all figured out now!

I know you would and we all would. But better to be prepared and have a backup just in case they aren't included. Hey I believe in your powers that be and if not then when you have completed your time machine we can go back in time and make it so. :lmao:

I didn't request preferred just waterview and we're not staying at the most requested location at CSR...

Question: Did you REQUEST or BOOK a water view room? BIG DIFFERENCE!

Also....you are aware that a 'water view' could include seeing just a small portion of a pool?

You can pick up your tickets early....no biggie....and I may be wrong...I don't think Planet Hollywood participates in the DDP, which is why you get a $15 meal voucher....

No free anything or discount for me. I just noticed the week I want to go, all the rooms are gone. People are booking anyway.:sad2:

I just punched in my dates and it is showing no availability at my resort that I already have booked at this time. Just changed it to its sister resort and same thing.
