I jus got an email from Disney Visa telling me I could book s/p/d now through the 7th before the public. I'm annoyed by it since they didn't do it for this season of FD. Lol

I know me too! I have never received a Free Dining email from them but I get all the others! I think I am on their free dining blacklist!:rotfl:

Sorry to post here last, but I made a new thread to get things rolling.

Free dining PINs are rolling for dates between January 3 and March 5.

This is a very interesting development indeed for us all.

If you get a PIN, please post over in the thread and let everyone know.

I did receive a promo offer email today and posted it in your other thread. I didn't read fine print well enough - is just a S/P/D offer, not FD. :( Sorry - I got sooo excited there for a minute. <sigh> Guess that's what I get for reading Disboards at work when I'm really busy! Oops

Are you hoping to go in January or March??? I think we will go for the Cabins or 2 rooms at a Value. Maybe All-Star Sports since they will have a "new" food court, although we really never spend that much time there. This trip we ate at the food court twice and that was because we came back early due to rain. I thought AoA had a nice food court. I ramble...I could talk Disney all day!

Now I have to admit I am getting WAY ahead of myself. My husband has to have fun on this trip first before I even bring up the idea of another one! He is currently fine if we never plan a return trip to Disney World and didn't really want to go on this one! I WILL win him over! I will start pestering him with 2015, if that doesn't work, 2016, 2017, 2018. He has to give in eventually. And I'm hoping my autism spectrum boy does so well there that he won't be able to say no. You know, because Disney=therapy!:thumbsup2 Hmmm, how can I get our insurance to cover that? :lmao:
To answer the question, however, I'm thinking the first week in Feb before room rates go up. And I hate February anyway.

How old is your son with ASD?
My husband new I was a Disney freak from day 1 and prior to our marriage he had been there once. He kind of had the same mind set our first trip but he came around! We have even done back to back years! As long as he gets a beach vacation thrown into the mix he is fine. And he does have a great time at Disney World!
This trip you can wow him with the Christmas festivities and lights. And then you can start putting the bug in his ear about February and how it is less crowded and cheaper! This trip try not to over plan activities and don't be afraid to take breaks or call it a day when the kids start to melt down. And from past experiences, around day 3-4 have a late start to the day or turn in early; with younger kids, sleep is key to a happy experience for all!!!:goodvibes Good luck!pixiedust:

My DH feels the same. He is just indulging me because he knows this may be the last trip my 83 yo mum has with her grandchildren. But I have a few tricks up my sleeve for him.

Finally an official announcement from Disney the full rollout starts December 1. It's on wdw news today website

He is 7 1/2. I've heard such wonderful stories about the progress ASD children have made at WDW, so I am hopeful we don't have any major meltdowns.
Well, I was selling Disney Educational Videos when I met my husband, so he did have to have SOME clue that I was a Disney Lover! :lovestruc He actually wanted to wait until March this time around but I convinced him of December because I told him FD was not likely in those months, it would be too cold for lazy pool days, and I wanted to see the Christmas decorations! Of course when the first week in December wasn't available and I had to change plans, I also added that the kids would have the week of Thanksgiving after our trip to adjust back to going to school. He also thought 9 nights was too long. Seriously, if we had done a short trip we would be rushing around trying to fit everything in, and as you pointed out, that CLEARLY would not work for us with 3 kids 7 and under!
And yes, my DH is that same way with the beach vacations. He says "but we can do a week at the beginning of the summer AND at the end, instead of just the Disney trip, with money to spare. Don't get me wrong, I love the Jersey shore, but it is nowhere near the same thing as Disney!

There ya go! Yep, he should have known...lol!
It sounds like you have everything planned out perfectly. Having 9 days allows you to see a lot more at a more leisurely pace. I have heard the same about kiddos with ASD and you being his mom, know the best ways to facilitate the positive experiences and to help divert the more negative ones. Have the most magical time ever!!!princess:

I posted on the other thread, but you had me all excited. I thought I had read MY email wrong!:rotfl2: Not that I could have really gone or anything, but stranger things have happened!;)

My DH has no desire to go on the trip we are going on. It's his first time. He just isn't a theme park/people person. But he will attempt to enjoy it.

I hear ya! 2 more days for us at POR. I can't believe it's actually almost here!

Wow...your really close. Soooo exciting!!! I'd be bouncing off walls if I were you :)

Well, we got here great, no problem got checked in and to out room (now I know what they mean when they say Coronado Springs is big). This was about 1130 last night.

It had a connecting door to the next room... DW doesn't like that. I know you guys hunt for connecting rooms and I'm trying to not have one :-)

Call the desk and they will call back in a few. After an hour and a couple of calls, get the clerk. She was so apologetic, she had lost the note and had just found it. A magic express had arrived ed right as we did and they got slammed I think.

Anyway, off to the new room. Having the KTTW cards do the doors was slick that they could reassign them to the new room without going back to the desk.

Off to MK and EP today. It was walk on most things (Space Mountain twice, just walk back around, Buzz a couple of times, waited about 35 for Soarin)

Good day, but going too hard like we always do. 9 days of this will kill me :-)

Thanks for all the advice!

Awww - thanks. Now if only I could find an older gentleman who would think so, too. Where's Ronald anyway? He sure is taking his own sweet time to find me! (Now to sit back and wait for those who came a little later to this party to ask, "Who is Ronald??") :rotfl2:

LOL! The while Ronald thing was back when I was still lurking and not posting. I've made up for lost time, I think.
