I just randomly clicked around in on my reservations through MDE yesterday and there was an option to customize FP+ bands! Sorry, I've been out of the loop lately... did this happen to many people? I never received an email or any notification about being a candidate for FP+, but caught it a day before they were going to mail us generic ones.

I never received an email either. I just logged into my acct and a box popped up to customize our bands.

Yes, this happened to me too. After we customized, ordered, and selected our Fastpasses, we received 2 emails. Our MagicBands arrived yesterday morning. In the afternoon we received a UPS 2nd Day letter inviting us to participate in the test. The letter was customized too!

If it weren't for reading posts about POR being part of the MB testing this month here, I wouldn't have known until after they sent out the generic gray bands. (Thank you Dis-ers!) We didn't get an email or letter until after we had already received the customized bands! One week from today, I fly down to Ft Walton Beach, FL & head out the next day to see The Mouse! Woohoo After [actively] planning this vacation for over a year, it seems almost surreal that is finally about to happen. Whatever will I do with my time now? Well, my time after I finish the costumes for MNSSHP, anyway. 2 costumes done, 1 more to go.

That's what happened to me too! No email, no letter, I just happened to log in to MDE and had 2 days left to customize! I got five of ours about 2 weeks ago in mail and I got the little guys today!

Photopass website has been revamped. There is no more 30 days to claim+ 30 days to edit. Now all photos expire 45 days after they are taken.

I noticed that too when I logged in. We will be in WDW for 14 days so will have to claim them as soon as I get home and get my edits done. That kind of sucks

I know! Us too. We're going for Thanksgiving. Now this means I'll be rushing to finish this through Christmas and New Years! I guess I'll start the Christmas shopping now!

We go the beginning of December so I will be like you and finishing our photos during Christmas & New Years. I didn't want to rush thru it since we have never gotten photopass photos before and this was a treat. Hopefully it will be easy to do and I get it all done before time runs out.

The upside is that you can check them daily and you will have longer to edit doing it that way. I always tried to wait until I got home to load them, but now I can check them while we are still there and still have plenty of time to edit.
