A CFI?? You mean a circle? That's what we call them here and they were abundant in my area and it always bothered me when newbies enter them and don't know how to drive in them.:furious: But they are becoming rarer and rarer as many areas are getting more populated, and therefore the circle becomes more dangerous.

Where I live they're called roundabouts....

So I realized I never answered my own question about what we all do for a living...so I'll give it a shot here.

I am in charge of Research/Market Intelligence for Travel & Tourism in West Virginia.

I'll actually be in Richmond in a couple of weeks to attend a Travel Forum for Tourism Marketing Professionals.

Of course, my mind will be on what comes one short week after I'm back...:cool1:

Off topic but pixie dust is needed....lol
I have been a SAHM for almost 11 yrs and I start a part time job tomorrow....my stomach is in knots.

I'm really nervous about this as well. My kids will be missing 7 days! (gasp!) because we decided to go the week before Thanksgiving and then visit family the week of Thanksgiving. D is now in 7th grade and this is a new school system for us. Other than regular orthodontic appointments however, she never misses school. :upsidedow

We are pulling our 3rd and 8th grade DD and DS out of school for a week. In my opinion, vacations are important life (and learning) experiences. In addition to our normal plan for Disney this year, we are spending a day at Kennedy Space Center (including lunch with an astronaut) and a day at Clearwater Marine Aquarium (where we will see Winter!!, do a backstage tour of their marine rescue center, and do a safari boat tour where they do net pulls and we get to see marine life and hear about how they record data on the marine life). Even more interesting.....does anyone remember my occupation???...and I am taking my kids out of school for a week. Like I said, vacations are important life/learning experiences, too!

Off topic? That doesn't exist in this thread. :rotfl:

Best of luck tomorrow!!!

I got free dining! :cool1::cool1:(Actually, on the first but it took me a while to find time to post here.) I am sooooo excited:cool1::banana::cool1::banana:. I'm going to arrive on Oct 29th (from California), stay near Universal for three nights and do two days there, then on Nov 1st it's over to Pop for eleven nights!!! And, I got tickets to the Halloween party on Nov 1st and the Christmas party on Nov 8th. Wahoo!!!! (Did I mention I'm excited:rotfl::lmao:.)

Now THAT is my kind of trip! Have a great time!!

People always tell me I have an accent but I don't hear it.;) Whenever I say I'm from Jersey, people think everyone from Jersey is from @ NYC. Now they have an accent!:lmao:

I am from NY. I am 33 now but when I went to Disney at 6 years old the cast members were amazed by my accent and immediately knew I was from NY. One even made me talk for his friend because he could not believe how fast I spoke.

Before that, I never even realized I had an accent.:)

Can I come too?! Lol that all sounds like sooooo much fun.

Are you guys who are getting POR going online or calling? I still haven't been able to snag it for our dates! If anyone sees oct 26-nov 3 pop up PM me ha!

You should split your reservation for now. There have been a number of opening at POR for 10/26 to 11/1. I originally booked on 8/1 with a Royal Garden View and was able to change to a Royal Standard. Right now there are regular standard view and garden view as well as Royal Garden view.

Thank you!! Its only 4 days a week and 17.5 hrs. So its not a lot but its enough to make me really nervous.

Sorry...off topic is scratched lol

Sounds like a fun job!!

It has its moments :scared:

Best part is the vacation time. Even after taking two weeks at Disney, plus a the week of Thanksgiving and Christmas off, I'll still end the year with 5 weeks of vacation time. :cool1:

I just check online every once in a while out of curiosity. I guess I should be fine taking a chance with a with standard room and just requesting a building closer in to the River, but if a Riverview room popped up, sure I'd take it.

I was able to get availability for December by checking online daily and for 5 days period and then I am adding one day daily as they open spots by calling. Keep trying!

Seriously? I get about five weeks worth total -- I take three weeks PTO for vacation, one week's worth PTO for holidays, and one week of PTO for kids/my sick days.

Me too : )

Thanks, that means a lot coming from a teacher and I totally agree. Life is full of teachable moments outside of the classroom. : )
