Free dining not offered 9/21 thru 9/28

Does anyone know what is going this week, why Disney is not offering free dining this week any longer. It scares me because we are going 9/24 thru 9/29 with free dining. I also tried check the reservations to see if i could book a room without the dining at POP and they said nothing was availabe.

It means that all of the rooms with the free dining promotion are booked and there are no more available. Also, this is the Food & Wine Festival time.

I wouldn't panic unless you can't find any availability at rack rate - and then I still wouldn't panic. Disney is doing a good job of filling their resort rooms, but that doesn't mean that all the off property resorts are going to be full as well. They set aside a very limited number of rooms at each resort for the free dining promotion and other discounts, based on the occupancy level at each resort. Once the occupancy reaches a pre-set limit, it is considered sold out for the promotion, and they will try to get you to book somewhere else. Value resorts typically book first for free dining because you have to pay full price to get the food free - making them a much better value for the guest. Each resort promotion, such as AAA discounts, AP discounts, Florida Resident discounts, are offered based on how many rooms Disney wants to fill.

Think of it like airline tickets - there's only so many of the cheap seats, and when they're gone, they're gone!

Try not to stress about it.. You can drive yourself nuts with the what-ifs and could-bes..

When we switched from one room for 4 to 2 rooms for 5 there was confusion. First off the CM said there werent anymore rooms available at POP. So we would have to do one of the All Sports. We were told we could call back later and switch when an opening came available. We were needless to say not happy. The CM then gives us the price and I am almost in tears. He keeps putting me on hold, and while this is going on my daughter and myself are checking the online prices again. So he comes back and he says so lets get this taken care of. I say, "When we are checking prices online we are geting a better deal with the free dining. As God is my witness he then says, "OH, You want free dining?" I felt like saying no thank you we want to pay for a freebie. He puts it in the system and the says, "OK, now we can switch you to POP." LOL, so you may want to put a call in to verify.
