Free Dining News (See Page 9 & 10)- Post It Here

I just received my Disney Visa card, activated it and set up my online account.:cool1:

You might want to call the CS phone number on the back as well to add your email address. I go online to check my account all the time and my email is listed there, but when I called the phone number....they did not have an email for me! Which made sense as I never get emails from them.

Disney Visa is managed by Chase.

This is probably not true. Why on earth would they only offer the free dining promotion in their cheapest and lowest profit hotel rooms?

I'm calling shenanigans on this information. I have no doubt that's what you were given.. But I have every doubt that it would turn out to be correct.

I suspect you'll discover on Monday that the free dining offer applies to a range of rooms at all levels of resorts.

You're right. I didn't say Chase because I didn't know if others would know what I was talking about...

It doesn't make sense to me, either. I was just reporting what she said. I figure maybe she's wrong or, if not, could the Deluxes and Moderates be more booked-up than the Values? I don't know! :confused3

I am dancing in my kitchen! I called CRO because I had to hear it for myself. When I inquired about Disney Visa cardholders booking a package with free dining she put me on hold...:rolleyes1 . When she came back to the phone, she was very giddy and told me to call back on the 9th to book my package! We are going Sept 14-22 and I can't wait!

I know I have said this before, don't you feel like you are wishing the summer away? :hourglass

Oh no! We are only staying four nights! Wasn't it a minimum stay of 3 nights last year? =(
I think so, the five night minimum seems new and (much higher)

I actually looked at this last year for a weekend stay. There's no way I am going for five nights in Sept. Food & Wine is in Oct and that's my favorite time.

There are conflicting reports.. It appears the 5 day thing is more like a suggestion than a requirement. Obviously we'll know more on Monday.

:rotfl: 5 nights does seem like a lot when regulars just want a Disney get a way!!! Too bad! We are going in May though.. so I couldn't go right back..

I called Visa and they said go to Disneyrewards.com on Monday and then I called CRO but the guy was not helpful and would not confirm fdp. Heck, I knew more than he did.

I am just wondering in all this news I read that it will also be offered 11/25-12/19 can anyone confirm this.

Our Sept. trip can't be changed as it is skymiles tickets on the airlines, no changing that and I really want to be in Disney for my Birthday and MNSSHP and food and wind and then our favorite, the monorail drinkathon! There is just too much to miss just for free dining but I would gladly make a trip back in early December at a Mod to see the Christmas lights.

Anyone know about Dec. fDP?

The folks on the phones at Disney Reservations will only be told of this .. before their shifts on Monday I would imagine. Calling before then is pointless pretty much.

This sucks...I was kinda hoping that MAYBE, just MAYBE they would offer different, earlier dates to Disney VISA cardholders instead of just the ability to book earlier-especially since we've gone months and months w/o any sort of offers at all. Boo you Disney VISA!
(I'm done ranting now:flower3: )

What also sucks is that about a year ago, we applied for the card, gave all our info over the phone, were approved..... but never received our card. We called to inquire, and were told that the person who dealt with us had been fired under 'shifty' circumstances... We did not re-apply b/c we were so creeped out by the first incident. Darn..could have really used it now!!!

MOST of the time when it says "$ amount for 5nights, 6 days at a value" it is indeed a selling suggestion, and the actual terms vary. Make sure you double check with the CM before you book an extra night you don't need, or settle for a value when you want a deluxe. Besides, I need 4 value rooms myself, so I would be happy to have everyone go deluxe! LOL

In the previous 2 years, it's been a THREEEEEE night minimum stay.

Im telling you folks, wait until Monday - we're all gonna be giddy with glee...right now, there's NOTHING to worry about.

My feeling - 3 night, just like before. :yay:

Ill see everyone there!

Mousesavers.com.........3 Consecutive Hotel Nights at an Official WDW Resort.
I hope this helps everybody out. Now everyone can quit guessing because now it's OFFICIAL!!!!! :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug:

I got an email today from my TA saying she was rebooking my package next week to apply the free dining which is available 8/26-9/22 So excited

Goofy:

That's awesome. I love it when people are pro-active!

I agree with Lisa3--we use our Disney Visa for EVERYTHING! Why can't they throw us a bone once in a while? A three day head start on something they will offer the general public is not very "rewarding" imho.

I use my Disney Visa for just about everything as well...it's really not a big deal to me if it's 3 days or 30 days. I'm just happy that the free dining offer is back out.

Well I see that these dates are official, I guess I will be looking for deals at US/IOA. Very disappointed. I am going to be in Orlando 8/17 - 8/21 same as last year, really thought they would offer the deal the same time. Oh well, off to the US/IOA board.

Well, considering US/IOA had the largest drop of attendance of any theme parks last year (IOA actually had the largest drop of any theme park in the world) I'm sure they'd love to have you.
