I bet it is for the Disney Visa special coming out starting April 9th. If you use your Disney Visa and book between April 9 till June 24th you get Free Dine if you stay sometime between Aug. 26 till Sept.22, said must stay at least 5 nights? Kind of off from the 3 night stay before and also odd that they are only offering the FREE Dine from just Aug 26-Sept 22?
But I guess it is better then nothing although those dates are tough for us to go.

I was instantly approved last Saturday and am hoping to receive my card this weekend. I'm also wondering if there's any way to book free dining on Monday if my card hasn't arrived. Can I book a trip online using the bank reference number, as allowed after instant approval, and then have the code applied on Monday?

The Disney site is probably being updated today in anticipation of Monday, April 9th. None of the web developers probably work on weekends so they are preparing today to push the offer to the main/production website first thing Monday morning.

Personally, I think it stinks that I have been a Disney Visa holder since Day 1 and use it extensively and the only offer all year is for a one month period when Disney needs to fill rooms. I really don't think this is offer is much of a reward to those of us who use the card.

My family and I have booked a trip to WDW for 8-22-07 - 8-29-07. If free dining does happen in August and I have already booked my trip does that mean I can not participate?

Free dining begins on 8/26/07 so you would have to make two reservations -- one from 8/22 - 8/26 without free DDP and the other from 8/26 - 8/29 with free DDP.

I am wondering this as well. We were instantly approved on Monday. We were given a bank reference number, but are still waiting for the card. Any opinions on whether or not we'll be able to book on Monday?

Last year, I happened to have applied and been approved a day before the free dining was announced. I was not able to use the card until I actually had it and activated it. HOWEVER, I had absolutely no problem booking the package once it was offered to the general public (in other words, Disney Visa cardholders did not take up all the rooms).

I think the Visa people might just be reading the ad copy and coming up with the "5 nights at a Value". I know Disney ads in my newspaper almost always use the language, but the offers are always good on various numbers of days and resorts. I remember when I got something in the mail a year or two ago about Free Dining I just threw it away because the ad only mentioned Values (we are a family of 5) and a number of nights that was more than we could go. Fished it out of the trash, and sure enough that was just an example...it was good for 3 nights and any level resort.

Yes we can start booking on 4-9...
start date 8-26...

called 1-407-939-1286...#disney visa gave me....
was a wdw #.....man who answered phone confirmed
that you can book package starting 4-9...

Called TA...had her put a hold on pofq for 5 night starting the 26th

booked my dvc from 8-23 for 3 nights beach club....very excited..

Please tell me that we can get the free dining promo staying at a Deluxe.

I was just talking to a rep from my Disney Visa company. She gave me the code and then said it wouldn't work until Monday. She was reading off a screen/sheet of paper and specified that to qualify you need a 5 night/6 day MYW package and had to be staying at a Value resort.

Disney Visa is managed by Chase.

This is probably not true. Why on earth would they only offer the free dining promotion in their cheapest and lowest profit hotel rooms?

I'm calling shenanigans on this information. I have no doubt that's what you were given.. But I have every doubt that it would turn out to be correct.

I suspect you'll discover on Monday that the free dining offer applies to a range of rooms at all levels of resorts.

I just called CRO--not because of free dining but because I wanted to pay more down on my package (putting it on the Disney Visa, ha ha). Anyway, CM told me all reservation systems are currently down--because they're upgrading!

Surely I won't be the only one calling later this afternoon on the off chance they'll let me book it earlier?
