If free dining is offered, is there any word on when it gets released? I'm assuming probably in may. But debating whether I should book the bounce back offer when I'm there May 10-12th or if the discounts will be out before then.

Free dining isn't guaranteed. Book the bounce back and if free dining comes out and is a better deal for you change it.

Rumor has it, free dining will be released tomorrow (4/6) and it will run like this - value resorts get free breakfast, moderate resorts get free quick service and deluxe resorts get free dining plan. This is very similar to how it ran last year.

That is not how free dining works at all for the States and Canada. Is this UK free dining you're talking about?

No, I am talking about the US. This is how it ran last year. My family was there. They stayed at a value resort, and were offered the free quick service but upgraded to free dining plan. That's why we're keeping such a close eye as we have a moderate hotel booked, but will upgrade to deluxe hotel IF the offer runs like this again.

Well yes, value resorts get free quick service, but you said they get free breakfast. You also said moderates get free quick service. But they get the regular TS. That's the difference.

I have been doing free dining for quite a while and I believe you are mistaken. Last year the dining plan included 2 quick service meals with dessert, 1 snack credit, and a mug. Deluxe and moderate received 1 quick service with, dessert, 1 table service, 1 snack, and a mug.

Relax. I'm not being rude. I actually was keeping an eye out to see if what you were saying could possibly be true. When it didn't get released I figured it was dead in the water and was just letting others know too.

HOWEVER,

I did some digging this morning and I found where you may have gotten your information from:

"Bookings must include 5 nights minimum stay at a Walt Disney World Hotel plus Disney’s 14 Day Ultimate Tickets for the whole party traveling to receive “14 day tickets for the price of 7” ticket offer, $200 Disney Spending Money per booking plus free Quick Service Dining Plan for participating Moderate Resort bookings and free Disney World Dining Plan for participating Deluxe Resort or select Deluxe Villa bookings. Guests staying at a participating Value Resort will receive Free Breakfast during their stay, valid for guests arriving January 1 – March 18, 2018 and April 6 – November 30, 2018."

So there is where the free breakfast for value resort guests comes from as well as Quick Service for mods and regular for deluxe and above.

Other posters are right in that this would be the first time something like this is offered, but it certainly is interesting which I believe is bolstering my theory that free dining is soon to be a thing of the past and people should stop counting on it.

Seriously? Free breakfast? ooooo. That's a maximum discount of about $45 a day or about 35% of room cost if the room cost is $125 and you have 4 people in the room. It gets worse if the room cost is higher or there are less people in the room.
