Free Dining in November 2015?

we are excited to announce we are taking our first grown up trip to Disney with some friends! our kids are grown and will be very disappointed when they learn we are not included but they are in college and cannot take off when we are going (booked this time on purpose)!

so, you think we will we have free dining November 4-9th of 2015?

I voted maybe but actually leaning towards unlikely. The first week of November is busy - Jersey week, Food & Wine, marathon on the weekend. I think last year it started on the 9th.

I'll be there Nov 5th - 9th and I'm not counting on it. We would actually rather have a discounted room rate, since we're running the half marathon that weekend and won't be eating "normally". I'm debating whether to book the RunDisney discounted package (which will save us around $300) or hold out for a 30% off room rate (would be about $500 savings). Decisions, decisions...

November 2nd-8th was blacked out last year for Jersey Week. All promotions are usually blacked out for Jersey Week. You'd have to check in before the black out period begins in order to have the promotion for the duration of your stay.

This is what we were thinking, so we changed our check in day to 10/31 in hopes of getting FD. Fingers crossed

Good call. 10/26-11/1 was open for free ding last year. I would think Halloween would run the possibility of being blacked out, but it evidently wasn't last year.

Even if there isn't a FD offer, they have offered room only for Jersey week the last two times that we were there. That was 35% off of our deluxe in 2011, and 25% off of our moderate in 2013.

I voted no. That week is always blacked out for FD. Last year Nov 1st was included and the 2nd through the 8th was blacked out and the 9th through the 20th was included. I am going on Nov 5th with hopes of a room only discount.

This is what I am hoping for this year. Checking in on Nov 5th, staying at WL. Crossing my fingers I can get a room discount!

That's only true with dining discounts. For room discounts, only the dates covered in the offer are discounted. The rest are rack rate.

My trip in 2013 was 11/6-11/12, free dining was not available but still got a room only discount. I think that Disney always offers some kind of discount, is there any time of year that you would have to pay full rack rate? (Christmas time maybe)
