We have booked for next year but wondered what would happen if one of our party could not go?
Would they amend the booking or cancel the booking leaving us to book again without the free dining?

1. call WDTC UK and amend your booking to remove that guest. You'll pay £50 amendment fee, but you'll keep your rate and free dining/gift card. (as long as you're more than 14 days out, as no change is permitted beyond that point) (and as long as it's not the lead passenger)
2. leave things as they are. No one will question if there is a missing guest at check in. You'll pay for that guests ticket but you'll also keep their dining credits, and be able to use them for yourself.
3. find another party member to take the drop out's place.
So that's your call.
As long as it's not the lead passenger, you'll have no trouble amending your booking.
But it's yours to decide if you want to remove one guest and forfeit £50 (but lowering your balance by £300 for the tickets) or not change anything and have more dining credits to use (as well as extra fastpasses)
I know from previous discussions that a poster on here - Portugal? Managed to get Disney to either refund or redate the unused ticket for the next year. No guarantees of course.

We ended up doing this on a previous trip, those extra credits were great, we had some counter service breakfasts we wouldn't of had otherwise and ate a lot more signature restaurants thanks to those extra credits.
