Free Dining Help!

We booked a while ago, also hoping for free dining we are there Aug 24-28. May be better to book now to be on the safe side from what i heard they can always add that on later.

Doesnt matter if you book now or not as far as the dining is concerned. Just because you have a room booked doesnt mean it will be available with the free dining offer.

mbanks is right...its not as simple as just "adding on" the free dining promotion. You basically have to cancel your existing reservation and rebook with the free dining promotion. If, for example, you are booked at WL in a standard room and the FD offer only has WL courtyard view for your dates, you have would have to switch.
I guess it couldn't hurt to book now, but don't expect that just b/c you have a room reserved that you'll get free dining on that room/package if its offered.

I can't remember what month the free dinning offers are open to the general public? Can someone remind me please?:goodvibes

Any predictions this year? I know you were right on the money last year, but have since said you've moved on. I'm sure you still keep in touch with those who know? Please share.

lol youre gonna get me in trouble. No idea honestly but the last few years its all been within a week of each other so Id between 8/20-27 through 9/20-27. But with the economy the way it is they might extend it in both directions a week. Only time will tell

Thanks....I'm sure you get a kick out of reading the various posts -- esp when you know and can't say. You must be a politician now because that response was pretty general ... "maybe yes, maybe no". I've already got my free dining booked because my daughter got a pin, but am watching to see if it will be released during the same timeframe that the pin is to know just how crazy the resorts and parks will be. We are booked for August 16th for a week.

I am hoping.. if not I will either be canceling or staying off site.

Hello,
we booked the bounceback offer last year and the free dining was offered for Aug 24, 2009-Oct 2,2009
Hope that helps

Actually they were 8/24-10/8 but the bounceback dates are never the same as the actual dates. Noone will know until probably April 8th-10th

I'm guessing since the current promo of the pay for 4 get 3 free ends on August 15, then perhaps free dining will kick in the 16th.... :) Here's to hoping!!!!! :thumbsup2

April 8th.....hmmmm. I guess that would mean that Visa card holders' offer would begin on April 5th? Only a few more weeks to go and then the boards will light up with post of excitment and disappointment all at the same time.

In 2007, I booked WL in a standard and called the first day of FD for Disney Visa. All they did was add the free dining code and I kept my standard room with the FD offer. But, just as you say, you can't expect the room to be available. We did the same thing last year with the AKL standard room and free dining. Fortunately, we booked bounceback this year so, no worries.
