Free Dining for DVC?!?!?

Has anyone figured out how to get the free dining that Disny occassional offers if you are using DVC points to make your reservation? Sorry if this has been asked before! Thanks!

You cannot get free dining while using your own or renting points. It would be nice though!!!

You can't. Free dining is only available with a full price room plus tickets package at a Disney resort.

That's what I thought, but knew that if someone had figured out a way to get around this it would be a Dis member!

I did hear a couple of years ago about DVC members booking with points and also booking a value resort room plus a one day ticket package just to get the free dining, they would then stay in the DVC room and use the dining credits from the value reservation, but I can't see how they saved any money off that deal.
