Don't forget about the information that someone got from their Brother's Friend's Aunt that plays bridge with a retired CM that knows the cousin of a Travel Agent. :smooth:

Ive never added FD online. If you choose to change it via online, from what I have read and heard, you have to cancel ur current Res and make a new one to do it online (I believe, someone correct me if im wrong).

recently Disney has rolled out a new program online that allows you to modify or cancel your reservations there. however we all know that Disney has many glitches with its MDE site I had recently booked a trip for the summer and I was able to modify it and then ultimately cancel it in the last few weeks. it seemed to work easily for me so hopefully for those who need to modify reservations to add free dining if it comes out then that will be a viable option

There is a button on mde when you go to view reservations and it says modify right under your reservation number on the next screen at the top it says vacation offer and when you hit change next to it it tells you what promos are available for your reservation

Thank You! Didn't know that was possible!

Sorry to ask this question again, but I want to be super sure. I have ADRs booked and paid for at Cinderella's Table. If I get Free Dining, I can get the payments credited back to my credit card, right?

Me either! I don't know how new it is, but ot was super easy to do. I was originally on the phone to cancel, then the automated system encouraged me see if my ressie had the option to modify or cancel, it did and voila!

I was able to change resorts one week but two weeks later I couldn't change dates. I don't think they have all their glitches worked out.

While you are required to put a credit card on file for an adr you do not get charged till your reservation time. just be sure to tell the wait staff when you go you are on the dinning plan and your card should not be charged

Great to know! Thanks!!

Thanks but you have to pre-pay for Cinderella's Table.
I want to be sure that when I go there, I can use my Dining credits and have my card payment refunded.

...anyone...Bueller?

You would laugh out loud even harder at me if I added that we are bringing DD's 19 YO boyfriend which is making the 3erd teenager in the first place. When we were there last year she spent the entire trip sky ping him and talking on the phone in the hallway of the resort all night. When he told us he had NEVER BEEN TO DISNEY:sad: We figured he had to go, and we may actually see our daughter more this trip. Plus I have no idea how much longer she will go with us, so not worrying about the money. GOOD LUCK ON YOUR WALK TOMORROW. We are putting together a team now for Cleveland's autism walk this summer.

There you go! Decision made. Just go with it and no stress. My gosh I'm sure there is enough things in day to day life to stress about.
My sons no longer want to go to Disney. Our 23 year old won't fly because he is "afraid of heights". We all aren't up for the drive at this point.
The 21 year old is at college and not interested in Disney....GASP!!! Who's kid is he? I'll drag him at some point. I know he and his geek Dad will enjoy some things I don't enjoy.

Thanks on the luck. I haven't been able to pull together a team for some years now with a conflict the day of the past years. But we sponsor our friends teams. It all goes to the same cause.
Good luck with your team. We've changed our motto from awareness to acceptance I hear.

Back to Disney thoughts.

When you do CRT, they charge your card. Same is true with HDDR. They will credit you back if you add the free dining though.

Yes, they will credit it back to the card you used. When you add the dining plan, they can credit it back to you right then.

Oops missed that it was for crt I would assume that if you called the dinning reservation number they would credit it back to you

You'll get the credit, but keep in mind that CRT is two TS credits on your DDP. For us we feel that's ok for dinner, but we pay OOP if we do breakfast there.

I am also lurking on the excitement here!! I am planning our first trip to Disney and DH already thinks I have lost my mind. I am so glad to have found this group for the knowledge and people that share my excitement for planning the trip!! I'm not sure how I'm going to keep the trip a secret from my children for the next 5 months!!!
