Free Dining Fall 2015? (and a whole lot more)

I'm new here! Great info!! We're going Nov 10-18 and soooo hoping for FD. I already have my room booked so I'd have to change my ressie when FD comes out. I'm from Canada and the thought of being on hold for hours on my cell phone on an international call scares me so I'm hoping to rebook online to include FD and then cancel my existing ressie. Will this be a problem? Do I HAVE to do it over the phone? Thanks in advance!

Welcome! If you are not a visa card holder then you should be able to modify your reservation online.

Looking for advice on the best way to book. My husband and I have a 4 and 2 year old. We are florida residents and annual passholders. We are going on a week trip in September and wonderfully if the free dining is our best bet with upgrading or to use our tiw card and room discount. Since we go quite a bit for day trips, we are hoping to focus more on food, swimming , etc.

One of your kids would be free so you could get a value resort for 6 nights with 4- day tickets and free dining for all of you. If you wanted to upgrade from quick service to regular dining it would be $18 per adult and $3 per child, or $39 per day. This would allow you a table service meal pet day including character meals since you said you wanted to focuson food. I believe it would still be free for your 2 year old.

Or you could book at a mod resort and get the regular dining plan included with your free dining offer. you would need to price them out tho find the better deal.

The room discount would only be a discount on the room.

They really upped the ante if the banner is correct. We're only going for 4 nights and we already have Annual Passes but I was going to buy the 4 day PH for the FD and not use it but just apply it to my AP renewal.. At this point AP discounted R/O and 4 day base w/ standard dining plan is going to be 350+ dollars cheaper than two 6 day PH to get the FD if the banner holds true, and I can't justify that.

Where did this banner come from?? This is exciting!

I'm confused. If Disney hasn't posted anything yet where did this info come from? Did I miss something?

Someone posted it about 3-4 pages back saying it showed up on their Disney Experience page momentarily. There hasn't been confirmation as of yet.

If I already have a reservation and it qualifies and want to add free dining by modifying my reservation online, how does that work? Is there an option that says "you qualify for free dining" an an option to add>
No. You shouldn't have any problems. You can go online and Modify your Res. Ive done it 3 times now already with no problem lol. It only changes what you want it to change (if that makes sense). You dont have to cancel your Res to Modify it.

Someone just posted this on Orlando By Joe's Facebook post about the banner

"Maybe PH purchases are down due to the FP+ limitations, so they figure this is the way of getting the numbers to look better before the end of the year. ."

This might be why they are requiring parkhoppers for FD this year (if they keep to the rumor)?

New here. I've been lurking for all 192 pages (and what seems to be the same questions over and over and over...) and decided to finally join in the conversation. We are planning on going in September, really hoping for free dining, and have not decided if we will stay at a value with an upgraded plan or a moderate. The numbers are fairly close depending on the room type available. I am getting excited and anxious for it to be released!

Hi everyone!! I have been lurking as well, lol. DH and I have reservations at CSR in December, 8 days 7 nights, passes for 7 days with PH. We are so excited!! FD would be great but we are not counting on it. We stayed at PC for thanksgiving last year with 6 other family members so we are looking forward to going just the two of us. I did not know about BB offers and will definitely call the number while we are there, thanks for the great tip!!! I am really enjoying this thread :)

Ive never added FD online. If you choose to change it via online, from what I have read and heard, you have to cancel ur current Res and make a new one to do it online (I believe, someone correct me if im wrong).

I know some have said this, but worth saying again because others keep asking the question. The promotion, every year, says 6 day/7 night, but has ACTUALLY been 2 day park pass/3 night package as a minimum to get the deal. I can't imaging that will change. Though PH add-on does seem like it it is the real deal.

Glad I'm not the only lurker!! I'd never heard of the BB offer either. Good to know that's another discount option out there!!

Welcome to all the new friends/lurkers!!!
I don't know about you all but I'm getting so excited/nervous I can hardly stand it!
Counting down the hours till Monday in hopes of a release!!!

Me too!! My family thinks I'm crazy but I'm obsessed!! I don't know how I'm going to make it to November for my trip! It seems so far away!!!!

lol I've also been lurking for all 194 pages! I'm also super excited/nervous! I really hope these rumors are true and we're able to book next week!

There is a button on mde when you go to view reservations and it says modify right under your reservation number on the next screen at the top it says vacation offer and when you hit change next to it it tells you what promos are available for your reservation
