Free Dining Fall 2015? (and a whole lot more)

Always call before you leave. We call when we first arrive so that we don't forget.
Great idea! Especially if we already know we're going back. Do you have to know specifics when you book or can you just book and change specifics later?

I didn't even know you could do that, I thought it was for select visitors only. I'll definitely do that next time. So you book while you're there, but do you still just put down the $200 deposit or do you have to pay in full?
Call ext 8844 from your room phone. If you book a package, it is $200, and if you book just a room, it is one night's deposit.

Either $200 for a package deposit or one nights room payment as a deposit. Depends which BB is available.

You can change things later as long as there is still availability under the original offer. Front line phone CMs typically can't access the bounceback system, so you will likely be transferred to guest services.

So I have a question. We booked a free dining package last September on BB offer but now my parents would like to go too. If the FD offer is released for Disney Visa holders (which I am), can I add a room to my reservation? Or will my mom have to make her own separate ressie? (she is also a Disney Visa holder)?
Each room is really a separate reservation. Can you request the same dates and ask for connecting rooms? Yes, with either of your DV placing the $200 deposit. Just be aware, the BB has less blacked out resorts, so make sure your resort included. Where are you staying?

Thanks!
We are staying at Pop. I have been doing this for 10 years but we haven't taken anyone with us in a long time so I forget how it all works.

Would suspect you would be fine as long as new dates match up with your BB.

So which is the best number to call? I don't want to sit on hold and find out that I dialed the wrong Disney number.

On the website it says:
For assistance with your Walt Disney World visit, please call (407) 939-5277.

But when you google Disney World the ad comes up on the side with this:
  1. Reservations: 1 (407) 939-1936

It wouldn't be too hard to know dates a year in advance as we do have calendars, unlike when I was young.
How long do you think it would take before we'd get tired of going every year?

That is a serious question, really.

We have booked rooms for September, we are a group of 14 staying in four rooms all under separate reservations. If free dining is released on Monday, can one of us have it applied to all four rooms if we have the confirmation numbers for each? What if two of the rooms are visa cardholders and two of the rooms are not?
Each seperate reservation needs to be booked with a Disney Visa, you may use one Visa to book each room though. Hope that helps.

I ask myself the same thing ;)

We are awaiting word on free dining. Was a huge savings a
Last year but had to
Pull the kids from school. DH more hesitant to pull them again but it's the only way to get the free dining savings

Yeah....I have been there when multiple buses come but still had to wait an hour. It is very taxing after a long day at the park. I'm just hoping the monorail is a better system. Does anyone have monorail experience on a busy night at park closing?

The monorail is a decent system as long as it is running properly. We were there last September (late sep) and the line was always crowded for the monorail after the parade/fireworks. But I feel like we never waited more than 15 minutes. One night we decided to take the boat back to the GF and that was the night the monorail didn't work. Others in our group were trying to use it and waited forever. This was the resort monorail. I believe there is a different boarding station at MK for those going to TTC and then on to their cars. When we go to other parks besides MK we prefer to drive but that's because we have our car with us. hTH

The interesting thing about the UK offer is that the Value resorts only get breakfast, no QS package, and the Moderate gets QS package. You have to go Deluxe to get the TS package. Wonder if this is typical for UK offer, saw some old posts on Trip Advisor back in 2014 talking about their 2015 deal that made it sound like that was normal for UK.

I've always been told that you know when it's time for a break. But here we go again! It's our getaway from reality so I'm not sure if it will ever get to that point!

It seems to be normal from what I can tell. The T&Cs I dug up on the 2014 UK offer had the same offer with free breakfast at values, QS at mods and TS at deluxes.

I think as long as you really enjoy doing the same things repeatedly, you're good. Also, if you can find something new to do at the same place, you're good. At WDW, we have both. My DH asked me the question about getting bored. What I just said was my response to him. He looked at me like I was nuts. Nice to know I'm not alone.:thanks:

I've read through probably 20 pages or more of this thread plus some threads on other boards from past years and and have come to this conclusion: It is perfectly fine to use a friend or family member's Disney Visa card number to upgrade to free dining, as long as they can charge the necessary $200 to it. Is that correct? I don't have a Disney Visa of my own but have several friends and family members who are willing to let me use theirs if I can.
