Free Dining Extended!

36 minutes and a very tired sounding CM is having the insurance removed right now. Poor guy has probably been swamped all day. Remember gang...I know the hold times are long, but being cheery and pleasant to these guys is likely to make the whole process happier for everyone.

So if my pin works on the 13th like the original CM said it will for the "blacked out" dates, I will have saved $358.32!!!

darn it my aaa t/a is out of town until 7-9. We have a trip booked for 11/19 to 11/27 with her. Due to her being unavailable I took it upon myself to rebook to take advantage of Free dining and changed my dates to 11/18 to 11/27 and saved $1300. It is my understanding that my t/a will cancel my old reservation but will they also be able to take control of my new reservation so I will be able to enjoy the AAA perk of parade special viewing and AAA storytime.

You can sign the reservation over to them. I did that last yea. It wasn't AAA, but it should work the same.

We were so hoping Disney would extend FD. We are staying at Pop post PCC2.0 and just upgraded from quick service to regular...We are so happy...

I just checked the Disney website and it is soo expensive still, even with FD. For 5 nights Sun-Fri AKL is $2200 for 2 people and POR is $1500.

I got POFQ for five nights, 3 adults and a 10 year old Disney "adult", 5 days of non-hopper tix plus FD for $2028. Savings are considerable for 4, even giving up the room discount I had previously used to book including the additional tips I'll be shelling out for TS meals.

Count me in as well as the fd savers too. I had 2 separate family's booked from October 29 to Nov 6th. Family of 4 for us fam of 3 for sis in law. Original price for us was with a 35% pin 3074.00 for 8 nites tickets hoppers & paid meal plan. When I called being that the eligibility date ends the day b4, the CM just added an extra day so now I check in on the28th. Now I stay for 9 nites, eat for that extra day, still have hoppers ,& pay now only 2971.

Savings of just over 100$ . Monetarily speaking. Because I actually got n extra day at the CSR ,extra day spent in the Parks ,n an extra day of food. Keep trying. It's well worth the wait. Don't give up hope. GL.

I got it!!! I had to change from Pop to All Star Music but I was fine with that since we love that resort as much as Pop.

My dates are October 21st - 31st. So I had to book a room only for the 21st then book a package to get the free dining for the rest of my dates.

I had to hold for 35 minutes and while I held I decided to book online since I knew I had to do separate reservations because of my first night being blacked out. So the cm just changed my old room only over to a new one (for nine less nights).

I am so happy, in all the years we have gone to WDW we have never been able to go during free dining and now at last we can.

I really wanted to go moderate and get the full serve ddp, but that would cost us around $1000 more for our ten nights when you figure in tips and the extra cost of the room. I may upgrade to the regular DDP (made my ADRs weeks ago in anticipation of this) or I may just stick with the QSDP.

I'll add that since I am a family of four "adults" by Disney standards, this thing saved me around $1151 total. Which is huge for us.

Got it for our group of 24. We upgraded from quick service to regular dining...it will save us about $315 per family. That's over $2100 for our whole group...I'm good w/that. Well worth the wait

I just called about our trip in Dec, 4th to 14th and was told a no go. Block out days. I was told I could change my dates but that won't help with my airfare. I wish it could be just like last year.

How come u cant use your pin now and have to wait til 7/13? cant u use your individual pin received via email at any time?

Just tried to add this to 'pin code' package for the week after thanksgiving. They couldn't add it and if we would have used the FD instead the pin, it would have been abour $600 more.....so we'll stick with the pin.

Just got off the phone, on hold about 10 min. We already had a ressie at POFQ 10-25 thru 10-31 and didn't have to change anything just saved about $500! DIS rocks My daughter just texted me that she got hers too after about 10 min on hold she is at POFQ 10-23 thru 10-30 no changes for her either.

Our savings wasn't nearly as substantial as a lot of folks, but we did come down by $157.40. I'll take it!

I called around a couple hours ago, was told my wait time would be 10 minutes and instead waited for over 20! I didn't care though, I just put the phone on speaker and went about my business, I knew it would be busy since everyone wants free dining!

The CM I talked to was very nice and cheerful and had no problem switching me from my 40% room discount at WL to free dining at POR! I made a few room requests, and also had her change my name on my reservation (I got married 2 months ago and originally booked in my maiden name) and was on my way! I asked her if they were getting a lot of calls because of the free dining being extended and she laughed and said it's been crazy all day, everyone is calling! She was very sweet though, she didn't seem bothered by it!

I'm a little sad not to be staying at WL anymore, but this free dining deal was too good to pass up and I'm excited to try POR! It looks beautiful!

I wasn't emailed the PIN. It's in the Disney system, attached to my name...found out about it when I called to check on FD this morning. Even though the pin is in the system, it is not active until 7/13.

Couldn't get it.
I actually did the online chat on Disney's site first to make sure it was doable with our dates/length of stay and the CM I chatted with gave me a different number to call (560-CHAT) than what is listed on the Disney promo page (939-7918) and I was only on hold about 2 minutes.

But once I got through and the CM looked everything up she said it was not available for AKL Club level for our dates (11/30-12/8), she actually said that they usually don't do much/if any discounts like that for Club level. She did say it was available for pool or standard view but the only savanah view was a queen/bunkbeds and since we will be 4 adults that just isn't going to work.

She did tell me to keep an eye out in August for any new discounts but whether that means there will be some or there may be some I don't know.

Just because I am paranoid do you think I should try the 7918 number just in case or is that probably going to get me the same answer?

Just taled to my TA and it works for the our full stay!!! Since we are checking in on a non blackout day!!!!! 11/30/2010 - 12/11/2010 FD covered for the full stay!!!! Much bigger savings than the 30% off the room rate!!!! So pumped that happedned today!!!! The only bummer was we had to change resorts, but it is worth it to us. We were at POFQ and now are back a CBR. Stayed at CBR befre and love it POFQ was going to be new to us so were were excited about trying somthing new! But like I said can't complain we wanted FD and got it so we are also happy to move back to CBR!!!! Hope everone can make this work for them!!!!

I just got the confirm e mail from my TA and to my suprize she got some pixie dust for us today and we were able to keep PO Frech Quarter as our resort with the Free Dinning offer for our dates!!!! She made our day!!! I hope everyone else is about to make there plans work for the free dinning!!

Sorry I confused people.

I was originally booked 11/16-11/24 with the 30% pin at POR

Today they took off our 30% discount and added the Free Dining. Under the 30% off room we were saving about $750. Under the Free Dining we are saving about $1000. So we are saving $250 more using the free dining deal than we were using the 30% off pin. So we are not using both deals, just switched the deal we are using.
