I have seen differing numbers on this. What is the cost (for age 10 and up) to upgrade to the DDP (1 snack, 1 counter service, 1 table service) if free dining is offered. Staying at a value resort of course.

Dining plan prices increased about 6 weeks ago so you would have to pay the difference between the CS plan and the DDP as of the March 12, 2014 prices. While wdwinfo is reporting the new price is $60.04, every other source says $60.64 per night per adult. On March 12 the QS price went up to $41.99 so the difference between the 2 plans is $18.65 per night per adult:

When staying at a value during FD you have to pay the difference to upgrade from QSDP to the Regular DP.As of March 12th prices are DDP 60.04 and QSDP 41.99 that would mean you have to pay the difference of 18.05 per adult(10&up) for each day.Example if you have 2 adults staying 5 days it is 18.05x2=36.10x5=180.50 cost to upgrade.

And , so-o-o totally worth it !!!! :cool1:
Depending on how many people are in your party, it's sometimes a better deal to upgrade to a moderate resort which would come with the regular dining plan "free."

From what I can tell, it is cheaper for us to do two rooms at the value and pay to upgrade. By about a thousand dollars. We have six 'adults'.

Question I already booked a room at POP with a room only discount and added the dining plan with the 1TS 1CS and ! snack, so if free dining were to come out, it would be better for me to upgrade to a moderate there are only 2 of us thanks for the help

I have been told that the agents will help you make this determination when you call. Like they will price it out for you different ways. I have just done some loose calculations myself and for us having so many, it is still cheaper to do values.

Have you considered the Cabins at Fort Wilderness? They are considered a mod and heve the DDP when there is free dining. My family of 6 does this and it makes it a very affordable vacation! (By the way our kids ages are 11, 13, 15 and 17!)

Interesting. I never thought of looking into that but I will. We are country folks anyway so that may be a great option for us :) PS - Cute that we have almost the same aged children. Only exception is I swapped an 8 year old for your 13 year old..
