Free dining coming back?

I really, really, hope they never bring back free dining! Actually I would like to see them do away with the basic DDP; they could keep the QS or the Deluxe and higher.

Echo, agreed, hopeful, please, please, please. Bob Iger hear this - my OOP addiction and twice yearly trips were cured by avoiding the crush of free dining. 2011 will be Disney free because I am weary of dealing with price dumping induced crowds that ruin the morale of the cast members.

I've had free and paid for it on the 4/3 promo, and I promise you it has the effect Disney wanted:it fills rooms on property.

One point about the positives for Disney with the DDP is that not only does it require staying in a Disney resort but also you are pretty much going to keep those using DDP ON PROPERTY the whole trip. When you have either paid for all your meals or are receiving your dining for free it is very unlikely you will be leaving to go to other Orlando attractions so they stand a great chance of every dollar you spend being within the gates of Disney.

Bingo! Same with the free Magic Express airport transportation. It's all about keeping guests spending their dollars on property. So to answer the OP's question, yes, I think you will see the free DDP again.
