Free Dining & Check-in question

I'm considering doing Free Dining with my (adult) kid. The only thing is that I will be arriving a day before she does. Do we both need to be there for check-in, or can I just notify them that she's coming later? (I asked this on a couple of threads but didn't get an answer - sorry if you've already read this!)

Thanks! :worship:

I go with my DD24 every year and she doesn't always get there when I do. They've never asked about her. I just get her room key and an extra parking pass for when she gets there.

Thanks! I did the Live Chat on the Disney website with two different CM's and they both said she doesn't have to check in with me. So excited to be traveling with her again, and to have Free Dining!

I believe somewhere in your reservation info, it says something about all members of your party being present at check-in. However, when I checked us in for FD last year, the only person they saw was me. The rest of my party was in the food court and never approached the front desk.

We had the same thing happen during FD last fall. My son's girlfriend flew in and got there at 11 pm and we checked in fine and got her card. She never had to go to the front desk, even after arrival. They actually didn't aske where she was.

Thanks so much! That's just the answer I was hoping for!:goodvibes

You're welcome. We were worried as well. We had heard that especially during free dining at a value, sometimes people were booking 'invisible' guests to get the extra dining credits. I think that is why they may ask to see a guest.
