Finally did it. Last week of August at the Poly with freeeee dining.

Tell me I'll love it.

You will LOVE it!! The rooms are bigger, they're some of the most recently renovated and it just "smells" like Hawaii (never been there, but I imagine that's how it'd smell! :)) Have a GREAT trip!

You will LOVE the Poly :yay: :yay: :yay: Everything about the resort is great :goodvibes The grounds are beautiful, walking around the resort at night is neat with the lit tiki torches, watching fireworks from the beach, etc, etc, etc. You will have a fabulous time :woohoo: :woohoo:

You will love it.

Not only is it a great hotel but it has some of the best dining - both Kona Cafe and Ohana are family favourites of ours. Make sure you make reservations for at least one of them - and don't forget you can use a counter service credit one morning at Capt Cooks for Tonga toast!

I didn't realize you could get Tonga Toast at Capt Cooks, I thought it was only at Kona. I have only seen pics and heard stories about it and have to try it this trip. I was sure we'd have to blow a sit down meal for breakfast at Kona. Is this really true? Jane

Absolutely true.

We had tonga toast one morning at Kona and then the next morning at Capt cooks. It's the same sweet deep fried goodness at both locations.

I hope you will love it, AND I hope that WE will love it!! :cool1:
We will be at the Poly (our first time at that property!) at the same time! Decided not to go with FD, but I am hoping for an AP discount prior to going - we have AAA discount now...
Good to know about Tonga Toast at Cap'n Cook's. I made ressies for breakfast at Kona one morning, but hate to waste our mornings eating a sit-down breakfast!
See you in a few months!:wave2:
