free dining and value availability

apparently POP is normally the first to sell out during free dining, and i've heard that sometimes when it becomes available to the general public, POP is already sold out.
i'm looking at either POP or ASM, do you think i'll have a problem getting a room during free dining at either resort? at a push i'll stay at any value but those are my favorites.
will i have a problem getting a room at a value if i book on monday?

I changed our dates last night....I asked the CM if we could apply the FD code on Monday she said that it would be no problem, however I have read that there are only limited rooms available for the free dining....However I would have thought the main people that will be call on the day would be people that are registered with forums like these. I think we should be okay...

I would say that would depend on your dates. If you look at the thread with people posting their date and rate, you will notice certain weeks are more popular.

With the economy the way it is, I don't think you will have a problem if you call 3/30. Disney allocates a certain number of rooms at each resort for this promotion - I'm guessing it's higher than in past years.
