Free Dining 8/26-9/22-Anyone Else Hear This?

Question - I am checking out on the 27th. Would we get free dining on the last day? We already have the dining package on our package. I was so hoping for free dining on our trip. Bummer!

Unfortunately, no. It is a three night minimum (or has been in the past) and would require an additional reservation and ticket.

I believe your CHECK IN day is what counts. It has to fall within the dates of the promotion.

Do you mean you are checking out on AUGUST 27th. If so, you will have to make a second reservation with this promotion. Since your first package is different from this promotion. So on August 26 you can check out and check back in under the new promotion and new package, buy tickets and get the free DDP, only if there is not a 3 night minimum, which there has been on the last 2 promotions. I don't think it's possible. You will be joining the long list of club members for August that will not be able to participate (including myself) if these dates are set in stone. All you can do is hope that if these are the dates, there will be some small print saying, limited other days also available.....a girl can hope--I'm grasping.

No, you won't need to buy LOS passes. But you'll have to purchase at least a 1 day pass (currently at $71.36 per ticket) in order to qualify for a MYW package. I've done this numerous times as I'm an APH, so I just don't use the one day ticket and apply it to my renewal fee.

I just wanted to point out that this was the rule in the past..there is no guarantee it will hold this time around..IF they even offer free dining. I wouldn't put it past them to change the rules so you have to have LOS passes..no one really knows for sure what they'll do.

I thought it was April 1st? I'm not going to make it until the 12th....

It could be April 1..it could be April 12..it could be never...no one really knows for sure and I think everyone keeps forgetting that.

There are some other threads on here that state there will be no free dining. I know one of them spoke with a CM who said they had just had a meeting the other day where it was stated there will no be a free dining offer at this time this year.
So, I wonder which is true? I am hoping it is THIS thread that has the correct info

I am pretty sure Disney will offer something... They have offered some kind of nice discount for atleast the past 5 years for end of Aug/ Spet.. We went in September of 2003, they did not have free dining... But they did have a really good special going on something like pay for 3 days get an additional 4 for free (not 100% sure of the exact discount)... But it will be great to find out if/what Disney has to offer....

Believe me I am hoping for the free dining like everyone else!

Just my opinion BUT...Everytime I see a CM saying there will be NO free dining this year, its in connection with trying to get someone to book right now.
My thought is, they don't know for sure, but they want the comission.

Maybe I am too cynical, but they can't guarentee you will get them when you call back to book free dining.

Even the CMs that HAVE said there will be free dining have said "So I would book now!" Even though your current ressies have absolutely nothing to do with getting a free dining package. The people that got all excited and booked when told that will have to cancel and re-book. So what's the point?
The point is, that CM made a comission on that brilliant suggestion.

I really hope there is free dining, but hoping aside-- I tend to believe that the "**************" wouldn't post anything if they didn't have pretty good info, AND that it would be unlikely that someone would make up that ad info.
That being said, everything is subject to change, and there could be so many limitations on the offer that it wouldn't help everyone.

I couldn't agree with you more, Len (************** BTW I think it's ridiculous that we can't mention ************ ) is usually spot on with his info.

Yes, I did without having reservations..... You don't need reservations to make your ADR's. Either way, Free Dining or No free Dining..... we are going to have to eat. We may cancel some though, but I doubt it.

I loved free dining but getting free days like they did several years ago would be nice. I really love going in September so I'm hoping for a great deal so we can stay a long long time!

I do have reservations for POP Sept 19-27 were going no matter what, but i also did not know that you could made ADR's without a reservatios because they asked me this moring for my rev. # , but i guess you could say you dont have one...

IF you wish to make your ADRs right at the 180 day mark, you can make them for all the days of your trip (up to 10 days) IF you have a reservation number. Otherwise, you have to call back each day you hit the 180 day mark to make the ADRs for that day in your vacation.

Just made my ADRs for the days I hope to get... Now comes the hard part of hoping Disney does come through with the free dining or all that quick planning was for nothing .... Even got my Le Cellier ressie at the exact time i wanted... was excellent

Thinking of making my ADRs even without having the ressie yet.. holding out hope on free dining... didn't the boy scouts say always be prepared. I know if free dining doesn't come through I will cancel those ADRs and move my vacation dates around.
