Free Dining 8/26-9/22-Anyone Else Hear This?

Oh yes, Please let it be so!!

Our first trip last year was with free dining and almost non-existent crowds!
I have been praying for it this year too!

We will stay at the POP again, so free dining is better savings than the 40% off would have been.

So hence I am subscribing!

Ok, if these are the dates that end up being released, it ends 2 days before we are supposed to leave. How would that work for us then? Would we get free dining up until the 22nd then we would be on our own? Or does it extend throughout your length of stay? Thanks!

In the past, as long as your check in date fell with in the special, you would receive that special for the length of your stay.

In other words, as long as you check in by the 22, you will receive free dining for your entire stay (up to 10 days maybe?). That's if they do it like they have in the past.

In the past it has extended through the length of the stay. Right now we are supposed to check in on the 23rd but I will move it up a day and come in on the 22nd to get the free dining. We have a wedding that DD is in on the 22nd but we will just leave the reception early and catch a late flight if we have to. It would be a huge savings for us because we are treating DH's parents to this trip---so 4 adults and 1 DD for 10 days---thats huge and I would be willing to skip the whole wedding if I had to. DD is not the only flower girl in the wedding. Hope that helps---didn't mean to go off topic but I am so jittery about this---I NEED an official announcement before I go CRAZY.

Oh No! It was hard enough for me to convince DH for us to get (pay) DDP...NOW I have to tell him that there's a possiblity it may be FREE (our travel dates 9/16-9/22). I already gave a deposit to AAA for our reservation room and tickets. At the time I excluded dining because I needed to convince hubby. Now that he is convinced that we should get it..what do I do now I do?

I'm so confuse. Please someone help us decide. Dang who knew planning for WDW was so hard. Are we out of luck to get the free dining if it's offer because we have our room/ticket booked through AAA? Don't I need to switch to regular price to get the free dining.

First you would have to have 2 reservations. One for 2 days and one starting on Aug. 26. The Aug 26 one would have to be a package with tickets to get the free dining. If you want tickets for the first 2 nights you will have to get them seperate, so this means 2 sets of tickets. You would only get the free ddp for your stay starting the 26th. It's a little complicated, it can be done, but you will have to crunch the numbers in terms of tickets and prices. You can request that they try to keep you in the same room throughout and they will do their best, but there is always a chance that you may have to change rooms when you have 2 reservations.

My experience was we booked POFQ, I wanted the "smaller" resort and the beinets... then free Dining came along.. they refunded my credit card (but wait - I did NOT GET REFUNDED until 17 days later!!)

Although, seventeen days isn't TOO bad when the standard disclaimer is "may take up to two billing cycles"

This really upsets me as we will be coming home on 8/26. I gotta say, if these dates are true, and they offered better dates to other target audiences, I am a tad frustrated. I wish they offered the same deal and dates to everyone.

But they already aren't doing that. The offer to the UK visitors initiates August 12 (and they can stay up to fourteen nights). The BounceBack dates beginAugust 5

No, because you would not be purchasing a package-that-includes-room-and-tickets. This, along with visiting on the correct dates and booking during the indicated period, is a non-negotiable requirement.

This is actually good news for you......if free dining comes out call your TA at AAA and have her check if a free dining pkg is available at your resort....if not consider changing resorts to get it. She will then book it and cancel your original ressie. You will still get free dining and the extras for booking a AAA pkg!

Wow, they really limited the dates compared with the bounceback offer! My kids will be back in school, so it wouldn't work for us. Glad I booked my other dates now even though free dining would have save me over $500 compared with the 40% off deal, I'm still going and I'm happy!

I knew this was going to happen. we're going from the 14th-21st of August.

Maybe this means the week I go will be really slow, cuz everyone that can will move their dates back! I can hope for some good to come out of it!

My kids say the same thing!!! I said earlier this year are we going to Disney this year for vacation. My DD9 says only if we have the dining plan! SPOILED! We are booked 9/13-9/23 so dates would work for us. I also made all my ADR's this morning. So pleeeeeeeze let this information be true.
