This. I did the math, as we are already booked at Pop with that 4 days get 2 free promo and it's a better deal. If we did free dining, our package would increase over $600.

I booked during the $150 off a night at moderates for the end of July for 7 nights at Riverside. My package using that deal is about $440 less than the free dining plan for 2 adults. Part of that difference is that we booked that deal last year before the ticket price increase.
Pop would be about $100 cheaper. What's funny is Pop was more expensive than the Port Orleans resorts on our old deal since values only received $75 off a night.

Free dining is not the best deal for a lot of people. We’re 2 people who stay at deluxe resorts, often club level. Free dining is never a good deal for us. Everyone really does need to do the math & find the best deal for them.

Free dining for the general public only came back last year, so not a lot of data. But mousesavers shows the free dining dates for both Visa & GP were exactly the same last year, with November excluded. In 2024, free dining was offered for Disney+ & Disney Visa holders. Neither had November dates.
