Free dining 2014

Yeah, even Chase thought it was going live today. They were handing out details over the phone to a bunch of folks. There was a big miscommunication between Chase and Disney on this one. It will go down as the biggest snafu in promo history for sure. :confused3

So nothing is going "live tomorrow" and just waits till it opens to all? Is that your understanding too

I got all Disney Visa members would happen tomorrow.

It's hard to target when everyone has the pin numbers at this point. Not that you need them to book, but you could still use them.

Have you looked at the cabins? Could be a good option for you.
I have. The problem with the cabins is they have full size beds. My DH is 6'5" and DS is 6'. We need queens. I only do value resorts if I travel without DH. We loved the suites at Art of Animation but really want to try POR. We are booked at POR (only 5 of us traveling) for 10-3 to 10-9 for Tower of Terror but couldn't even take advantage of the runDisney discount because it was already too full. I was hoping to at least get free dining if I had to pay rack rate. I guess I'll have to hold out for a fall room discount instead.

Hi..I am new and have been closely following the thread for several days. I was hoping to book with FD early but the post that said only some Disney Visa holders will be able to is making me bummed out! Anyone else hear this? Have they done this in prior years? Thx!!

I just called the Disney Chase center and asked if there was anything to know about Free Dining being released tomorrow and he actually DID confirm it but said to me that there would be an email going out and didn't offer to give me any type of code  But he said that it really didn't matter because it was going to the public on May 7th. Wellllll...that's nice but I hope to get in on it tomorrow! LoL

I spoke to a wonderful Chase Disney rep earlier today. She read the entire memo. When I ask her if I needed any type of code tomorrow morning, she said no ma'am, Disney will have the codes tomorrow morning when the promo comes out for our DV holders. There is a FD promo (same dates that were posted by black) and a RO "up to 30% off " 8/16 thru 10/3. so I would figure 30% off deluxe, 20% off mod and 15% value but I could be wrong. She never mentioned any resorts but did say that some resorts would be excluded.

Hope this helps :thumbsup2

Why is visa telling some people that it's only going to be available to those that got the email?

I am confused. I guess it depends on who u get because I called Disney Visa this evening and was told they have no idea about the FD offer as Disney has not notified them of anything.

Newbie to the board so hi everyone. I have 2 questions.

Does anyone know what the charge is to upgrade FD from DP to DDP?

We typically stay at POR and since it's excluded we will obviously be looking for another Mod resort. I am not a fan of CBR. How is CS compared to POR and CBR?

I've been lurking. Big trip planned for late Sept and FD would mean a big savings even above what our group saved by adding the last promotion. Thanks for that everyone.....but I have to say "I'm out" This is giving me a headache.
Chase says YES! They say MAYBE. They say a SELECT FEW. They say YES! .....but you'll need to wait another week.
:confused3:confused3:confused3:confused3:confused3
Honestly, Thank you. but I think I'll just call Disney Reservations in morning and again on the morning of the 7th.
Everyone have a great vacation!!!

Does anyone know if it matters which DV you have? Can it be either the one with the annual fee or not? I have the one with no annual fee and see that my hotel and travel dates are likely to have FD.

I have been told that it doesn't matter but don't have it yet myself
