Free dining 2014

sorry that's 3 adults and 2 children lol. I have gone mad. does Coronado springs even sleep 5

No CSR only sleeps 4 plus one under 3 in a pack'n'play. The only moderate that sleeps 5 is POR.

They have phoned me just now, quoting 2 adults and 2 children:

Weds 13th August 2014, flying Virgin, 14 nights, inc tickets, transfers and 14 nights in a 1 bedroom at SSR is £7756 (£1978 adult £1899 child)

Mon 18th August, flying Virgin, 13 nights inc tickets, transfers and 13 nights in a 1 bedroom at SSR is £6676 (£1709 adults £1629 child)

Apparently at the moment indirect flights are the same price as direct (for Easter there is a big difference according to them).

Stating in a studio at SSR would have made it cheaper but tbh I would prefer the extra room. This is similar to what we have paid this year xxx

Lovely lady called Shelley I spoke to x

That's a great deal! Just right for me too! This is dangerous. I've just fully paid off this years trip.... They rang with my quote but I was sleeping and DH didn't know anything about it so wouldn't speak to them!

has anyone booked with ocean florida before. I have not heard of them

Well I got an email from them last night (9:30pm) they were obviously working late with all the UK Dissers quote requests :rotfl2:

Anyway for for the 4 of us with PE Virgin flights both ways, staying at The Yacht Club in 1 room, 14 day Disney Ultimate tix and an intermediate SUV with full insurance they are coming out £2k less than going with VH direct.

They are also guaranteeing FREE Disney Dining. Now I don't think they are a dodgy back street travel agent but I do wonder how they can actually guarantee the free Disney dining ...... do they really know something that no one else does or are they just chancing it. I wonder what will happen if Disney don't offer the free dining will Ocean Florida pay for it ?

Most of the travel agents know its coming back, by end of april we will have a free dining offer! And the discounts on okw and ssr

Yes apparently the free dining (or so the lady told me) is released by Disney and via other travel agents on 25th April. They have got a 4 week advance (exclusively) didn't delve but it is printed on the quote so would have to be honoured. They are ATOL and TTA bonded so your money is held in trust until you return from the holiday which is the point at which the funds are released and Ocean Florida get paid x

I may be over simplifying here but that's what I understand xxx

that explains the disney part- but how have they managed to get hold of the flight prices. What's the deal with the moderate resorts - are they doing free dine or quick service dining.

I got a quote for OKW that was very good - but forgot to check if mods were olso doing free dining. but she did mention having to pay upgrade price for ddp even for OKW - I then asked her if the lux resorts did not get free ddp not free qsp and she agreeded so changed the price.

So,have you booked?

I've asked for a quote from Glasgow, but they emailed back saying couldn't offer prices from there- so awaiting Manchester prices instead.:)

I got a quote from this company about 3 wks ago and I'm guessing they didn't know about the discounts back them as my prices was in the £10,600 range for 3 wks at POR lol!

How many does a 1bed at SSR sleep?
I'm stuck between POR and back to SSR depending on price I suppose.

We are thinking may next yr now as its the twins bday but we always have loved sep/oct I'm hoping there isn't much difference weather and crowd wise!

The one bedroom sleeps 5. It is far more comfortable than a standard Disney family room where you all sleep in one room as the one bdr at SSR has a separate living room (with beds) and full kitchen. If you go onto You Tube and search for SSR you can see yours if a 1bdr so you can get a view if what you think.

Good luck x

I got this quote from them:

Departure date: 01 November 2014
Departure airport: Manchester
Destination: Orlando International
Duration: 14 nights
Passengers: 2 Adults
Holiday Type: Package
Price Per Person: £1899 per adult

The above price includes a 14 night stay at POR with ultimate 14 day passes and free QSDP

Not booked yet as it involves 3 families (2 adults -16 yr &21 yr) (2 adults 18yr and 20 yr ) (2 adults 2 kids 1 infant) and one grandparent- so needs a bit of discussion.

The choice - 2 bed OKW from gat 30 june - £13851 (9 adults) then 1 bed for 2 adults and 3 kids no flights - £ (in reality 1 teen will also sleep in this villa leaving 8 in the 2 bed) total = £18200

Or book a 7 bed villa add on tickets and the 9 flights - £14000 - leaves £4200 for all food cars parking etc for 14 (11 adults/ >16yrs) 2 kids 1 infant).

We would need some cars anyway as some will also go to universal.

not sure whaich would be easiest while we are there

The chap from Ocean Florida keeps emailing me (I never gave them a phone number) asking what I think of their quote.

Whilst I think it's quite good when we went last year as well as the free dining the Disney offer also included 14 day Ultimate tickets for the price of 7 AND a $200 gift card. So I think we'll wait a few weeks to see what the offers are when Disney release them. I will probably give Zac (the Ocean Florida man) a call tomorrow and discuss it with him.

The thing I'd like to ask all you out there is has anyone ever done a "price check" comparison with Virgin Holidays ? If so how did it work and were they quite amenable ?

TIA

I've done a price check with Virgin but they wouldn't price check. I gave them a quote from Charter and they wouldn't match it because they said it was based on 'pre advance' flight prices.

For me, OF have been the most expensive, even more so than booking direct with Virgin. Complete Orlando & Charter are coming out cheapest :thumbsup2

Virgin is coming in £5000 more for us (although that is staying in rooms at por versus 2bed in OKW) as virgin don't have OKW and its paying for dining.

The flight are a bit worring as I am not sure that virgin would release the prices yet- I fear that ocean may be working from prerelease guide prices - and I am not sure what happens if they change- I booked with another company using pre release once and they made it quite clear that when the prices where release we would either need to pay any increase - or get money back.

We usually find complete orlando the best price - but last year after we booked disney added the $200 credit so we just broke even using the cheeper complete orlando.

I was just about to ask about the flight prices - are they guaranteed? That's partly why I booked with Cinder's Mum as the price I booked at was not going to increase!

Thank you this us what I thought! But ocean Florida are telling me that it only sleeps 4!! :(

They said I could do OKW but I really don't want to do that, I loved our stay at SSR in a 2 bed but if my mum does not come on this next trip then I don't need to have a 2 bed ill be happy just to make sure that DH & I have our room so we can chill away from the kids at night!

I do love the look of POR and if needs must then we would cope in one room but I think I'm not completely spoiled by the 2 bed lol.
