Free Dining 2014 Discussion

I realized what it was. I had changed 2 adults/2 children to 4 adults because we are thinking we will upgrade our kids if we get FD. I didn't realize there was a charge for more than two adults per room.

So I was just online crunching some package numbers, and suddenly the standard rate at CSR is $217 for late September/early October?? It has been $187 for the past couple of weeks. Has anyone else noticed price changes?
CSR doesn't show any availability for my dates (Sept 20-27). I wonder if there are conventions happening during this time, and rooms are blocked off for that.

Ok ... so I read through the links and Disney brochures and it says for the regular dining plan you get 1 TS, 1 QS and 1 snack per night. So for 4 nights it's 4 TS. If you eat at signature restaurant then you use 2TS credits. So does that not leave 2TS credits (and not 3 credits)?

Yep :)

They are considered adults if they are over 18 yrs old. First 2 adults are included. Extra adults are charged.

Quick update:

Thursday, May 1 looks solid for Visa release.

Public release may be as late as May 7, due to Halloween/Christmas party tickets likely going on sale on the 5th.

What!? May 7? I won't last that long. Black - you need to do something about this.

Whoo hoo!!! I could kiss you right now!!! lol

That is not my intentions at all:worried: I just believe that the MM is one of Disney's "phishing" promo's just to see how many of us they can "catch" :fish:with a mediocre promo in an attempt to exclude dates, rooms and/or room categories.

Oh I agree completely. They were being sarcastic, not you. That's exactly what the MM deal was in my opinion too.

But on the plus side, tomorrow is the two year mark for your worst case date!!! WooHoo!!!!!

I like to celebrate the little things:)

Thanks. : ) I am trying to keep that in mind, hence the ticker to remind me. : ) It could definitely be worse...,

So does that mean if we want to upgrade our kids to the adult dining we plan we have to pay extra for the room as well as the adult price on park tickets?

Nevermind... I think the answer is that we list kids as 10 instead of 8 and then they get the adult dining and we pay adult ticket prices but it doesn't affect the room price. :)

No. Adults for the room are for 18+ only. For dining and tickets, it is 10+.

I drive to work at 7 am. Should I call then or will it be fine to wait till I get to my office at 730? Never done this before

What are you basing this on :scratchin(inquiring minds want to know:rotfl:)

Heh - it was just a joke. I've noticed so many "...already booked, but waiting on FD" comments. I'm sure Disney execs are aware of what's going on. We can only hope there are enough still-empty rooms to justify them opening up FD so everyone waiting patiently can take part. I booked weeks after it was announced in 2012, and was able to get into our preferred resort (CBR... looked nice anyway, and it was). I noticed last year when I looked online, everything was booked quite early. It may have opened up again after that; no idea, I was just curious and not looking to travel again so soon. I'm hoping it is offered again, and hopefully I can grab a room. I am travelling this year regardless, but am waiting on FD to book. If it is not offered, there is no way I am travelling in Sept though, and will book later in the year. Not worth the risk to me anyway (weather)...
