Hi, this is my first post! :) Looking to book CSR for Sep. 29- Oct. 5. I just was approved for a Disney Visa a couple of days ago and it is linked to my MDE account even though I don't have the card yet. Just out of curiosity, I put a deposit on the Disney Visa for a RO at AoA today, just to see if I could use the Visa. I could! I also called Chase and had the new account linked to my existing Chase online account, and I can see the authorization charge for the AoA room, and can see the last four numbers of my account number, but not the whole number.

If FD drops tomorrow for Visa only, will the CM be able to charge the deposit on my linked Visa if I don't have the full account number?

Sorry for the long question!

Black, I don't post often, but I've been reading along and waiting for my dates to come up. PLEASE do not be bothered by anyone who says something against you. You have been, and will continue to be so helpful. Not just for FD, but in other areas as well. It really does help someone like me who has only been to disney a few times.

THANK YOU!

Last year, they pounced before the actual date even arrived....and once it did and it happened, they were nowhere to be seen.

It could be the same if it doesn't happen tomorrow. Even though there's a May 1 date too, some just look for an excuse.

I know I said this last month on the night before the summer offer went live on the dates I posted, but it just seems so quiet.

The web is totally split now with some saying tomorrow and others saying the 1st. I always get skittish the night before, but I hope nobody is put off or put down either way, because it won't mean it isn't coming. I honestly don't know though, with reps having ...no matter which date is the offer, what is the overtime for on the other date???

overtime at two different times

I know it is unprecedented but with overtime on 2 dates 10 days apart could it be that Disney Visa Free dining could come April 21 and General Public Free Dining would come on May 1? I guess we will find out soon although I am not aware that there has ever been that large of a gap between offers.:confused3

Consider Port Orleans Riverside in a Royal Guest room. Very Disney and special for little girls. My daughter loved it and we had queen size beds unlike at the values. Also if you are at a moderate during free dining you get regular dining plan. At the values you just get the quick service dining plan. yes, you can upgrade but by the time you do that the cost is about the same as staying at a moderate.

I guess I did ask a pretty stupid question, lol. It will be family trip: Me, DH, and DDx2 (we're going for our youngest's 6th Bday and our oldest's 1 year anniversary of her Type 1 Diabetes diagnosis, so lots of celebrating). With 2 girls, ages 6 & 8 at travel, who love all things Disney, play soccer, are very active, been to WDW 3x: I'd like the full dining plan so we can do meals with characters (from what I understand those are included with that, right?). I think Value or Moderate should be plenty enough for us. For a week trip with lots of time in the parks, I'm not sure I see the value in the Deluxe for us. I've done a LOT of shopping on the WDW website, but because we've never stayed in Disney, I'm not sure which would be best, lol (though I know they're all great). We want to be surrounded by all things Disney if we're booking trough them. If that means we need to book Deluxe, then I guess I'll look into that. With 2 young kids we aren't interested in imitating a trip to anywhere but Disney :)

I hope I'm making sense, and not being too much of a nuisance.

Is there somewhere else I should be posting this? I feel like I've taken this post in a completely different direction, which I didn't mean to do. I apologize for my ignorance in forum etiquette.

Get ready though, because if it doesn't happen tomorrow, there will be a few appear in here accusing me of leading everyone astray and that I never knew what I was doing and how dare I let everyone down like this. They love to pounce and no matter how many times I've been spot on, all it takes is one time to get them in here.

The difference is, I never tell anyone to book anything in advance,...I never guarantee, because nobody can do that, and it's reckless.

Ahh, don't you worry, Joe. We've got your back! :thumbsup2

Still really new to dis boards, but I love this and want to thank Black as well. I'm such a planning fanatic and even though our check in date is August 15 and I most likely have no chance of getting free dining, I'm still following this and enjoying every minute of it. You all are so kind on here! I'm excited for everyone and hoping for everyone that you're able to get what you are wishing for. And I have a little bit of hope that mid August will be included but not counting on it :).

Been following FD for the past week or so, had already reserved 9/27 - 10/5 before I knew FD might be a possibility. I'm a DV cardholder. How will I know if FD is offered? Will I get an email? Will I need to check the Visa website? Don't want to miss it!

You may or may not get an email, but it always comes later in the day.

Best bet is watch here...

Need some advice - we have been going back and forth all weekend because of the possibility of FD being offered. Our trip is booked at AoA in the standard rooms and now we have been thinking about changing to either the pirate rooms or the royal rooms with the free dining. We have 2 boys ages 22 months and 4, anyone have any good advice on where the best place to stay is?? We have never been to either

I think the offer, when announced, will be September...with possibly the last couple days of August. They could throw everyone a curve and that would be great. But I'm not expecting it.

Black, are you still thinking it will be through Sept 24th, or do you think the FD offer will be for the entire month of September? Thank you!

What's the best phone number to use? I found 407-934-7639 in burnbaum guide.

Hi everyone! I decided it's time to stop lurking and start posting. We are currently planning our next trip for 10/28-11/5ish. This will be my first fall trip and hopefully first free dining trip but I am sure we have awhile to wait still.

Thank you so much for all of the information so far! I understand nothing can be guaranteed but I love and appreciate all of the educated guesses.

I have only used the Quick Service plan a time or two in the past. Please clarify: the regular dining plan is Table service? If we are counter service people but stay at a deluxe, can we get the quick service for free dining?

I think I read that to get free dining, you have to purchase two day tickets. Does your entire party have to do that?

We are a family of 4. My dd and I will do 2days at MK. However, my dh and ds plan to only do one day at MK with us and go to Legoland the other day.

Can I purchase two one-day tickets (for ds and Dh) and two two-day tickets (for dd and myself) and still get the free dining plan -assuming it is offered?

We will be staying 6 nights but plan on doing things other than Disney on our other days.

Thank you.

Mods and Deluxes typically get the regular DDP, which is 1 TS credit, 1 QS credit and one snack per person per day (plus one resort refillable mug per person). You cannot get the QSDP, but you can use a TS credit for a QS meal anywhere on property. They will use up your QS credits first and then start pulling from your TS credits. You might be better of with a room discount depending on your party size/ages, and purchasing the QSDP.
