Free Dining 2014 Discussion

The mugs were included in the Disney Dining Plan starting in 2012. Here's links to the 2011 and 2012 dining plans:

Just as an aside, I also found my old links to the good old days when Appetizers and Gratuities were last included in the dining plan in 2007. Here are the 2007 and 2008 dining plans.

The early days of the DDP...good times...

And I concur - mugs were included with the reg DDP in 2012. The only reason I can think that people didn't receive them is because they didn't pick them up.

Thank you for making me feel slightly less crazy! I think I'm obsessing about this because my ADR date is tomorrow, and I never make ADRs, but DD wants to do BBB and I'm going to try to get CRT for the same morning. I know I'm just deflecting my nervous energy to something completely unimportant. I don't think I'm going to get any sleep tonight!

Oh you should be TOTALLY fine with getting CRT. We have eaten there for breakfast every trip (usually October, but last year we went a week earlier and stayed 9/24-10/1) and never had a problem getting the reservation, even before they added lunch and dinner, and then later BOG. 4 times we have even gotten the coveted 8:05 seating . BOG has taken a lot of pressure off CRT - we have friends who booked it 5 weeks ahead of an impromptu spring break trip. good luck!

It is such fun, your little princess will LOVE the experience.

HINT: if she is a big Cinderella fan, look for Jaq and GusGus in the armor room while waiting to meet Cinderella!! We didn't know they were there until our 3rd trip and the girls were so excited to look for them - made the waiting for our turn for a photo with Cinderella sail by too

Got BBB for 8am and CRT for 10am for 10/24. Yay! Barely slept at all, but when I did, I had a dream that my alarm didn't go off and that I couldn't get my reservations. Ended up not needing either of the two alarms I set because I was already wide eyed and watching the clock. Not sure I can go back to sleep now, either. So excited!

We won't give up on Monday until Monday. But the information for May 1 is no more or no less than Monday. Either way, things are on the home stretch. Hopefully we will know more tomorrow and see what happens.

Black- even though I know the FD likely to come out Monday or 5/1 will be for Sept., is there any new info for Fall offers? I know things were looking positive for an extension of FD, bit I'm curious of any new info is circulating that would run counter to that? Still hopeful for mid-November

I have done the same thing today. I have gone through past Disney stuff on and off all day to find one invoice besides my 2012 vacation that says mugs included. We have so many mugs and I can't imagine paying for these things OOP when we don't really eat at resort food courts. When I get time and everyone leaves this house I will find the answer. Things are definitely looking that way. Unless they get a surprising spike in bookings between now and then.

If free dining eventually comes out for my October dates (10/21-10/30), since I booked my package before the ticket increase, would we be charged the new ticket prices?



I can't tell if it would be worth it for us to do free dining. We are booked at Beach Club garden view with quick service dining package and park hoppers. We aren't willing to switch hotels for free dining.

What would you guys do?

Yes, you would be charged the new prices. A room discount may be your better option. Be sure to run the numbers if more than one discount is available.

I hope we have some free dining news for tomorrow Our dates are flexible and we are willing to move everything around to get it, but once the FD is out and we book, I will finally be able to book airfare and our get our Universal tickets as well.... So excited, Disney planning is the best
