What is bounce back? How do you get while at Disney? Is it open to everyone?

We got that offer last year as well and didn't take it because we weren't sure what we were going to do this year for vacation. We are certainly kicking ourself now.

If I remember correctly they asked us at check in if we wanted to do it so that we would be guaranteed free dining this year.

We received it in the stack of papers you get at check-in. :)

Noone said a word to us about the bounceback, but there was a flyer among the other papers in our room. Dates were very limited, and we never go yearly anyway, but it is great for those who do. No pacing the floors waiting for it to be announced to the public. ;)

I would just like to say, that I really had no idea that there was so many "waiting" out there for immediate release of free dining! I have been to Disney for the past 10 years, once a year, sometimes twice. We have taken advantage of FD when possible. Never made it a point to be right on top of it, just casually booked when we felt it was time, lol. Now, I find myself being really impatient with it!

Nevertheless, the waiting isn't so bad waiting with all of you! :woohoo:

I really want to update my signature to reflect all of my trips, but I honestly cant remember them all! They kind of blend together we've been so often! Maybe I can check back through photos in order to sort it all out!

There was a free dining bounceback offer available when we went in November...I believe it was for August and Sept.

Hmmm... Never thought about a debit card. Wonder if I could open an account online?? Long time stalker to this thread-would love free dining! I keep switching our dates around and I think that stress has caused me to have a really strange Disney dream last night! We are usually January people, but a new job for me and a promotion for my hubby made us delay our trip this year. Thought September would be perfect since they have the lowest crowds and most likely to get free dining. May have to switch to October now due to hubby's cycling race and kids' testing schedule at school. Ugh!!!
You can open the account online. I did it 3 days ago as well!

I was on line late last night playing with numbers. The website was not booking packages----just rooms. Usually when that happens something is changing soon. Not sure when the current offer is finished but something is changing.

Just as a quick reminder everyone, while you're at Disney this year check for a FD bounce back offer for 2015! I've done this for the past 3 years and it saves the springtime stress of waiting and hoping for FD to be offered. Even if I'm not positive we'll be able to go the next year, it provides great peace of mind for a $200 refundable deposit!

This year when you are at Disney call x8844 to check out available BB offers. Also, if only Deluxe and Moderate are advertised, ask about Value as they're normally available, just not advertised.

Hope this helps some!
Sounds good. I could use a "girls only" trip in 2015!! Question about bounceback... do the same cancellation policies apply? (ie: no penalties if greater than 45 days out from check in date.)

Our dear friend Dave just reminded me of something I had forgotten.

The Seven Dwarfs Mine Train press event is May 2. Add on top of that the Halloween Party tickets, and their Earnings Call is the 6th. There's a lot of stuff going on at the beginning of May. He pointed out that throwing a promo into all that mix would get everything lost in the shuffle. So move the promo out of the way....

Kinda makes the 21st look a bit more obvious.

Oh, by the way, I checked on the summer offer and it was released about 16 days earlier than last year. If you count back that far this year, it comes a couple days before the 21st. Don't read too much into that, but I have noticed deals coming along sooner this year.

I had the same problem about two weeks ago.

I was on the site trying to mess around with different scenarios and found the thing (not booking) and I kind of thought the same thing that you posted: "wonder if this is the flux before the promo release?" LOL funny we thought the same thing.

Hubby and I cancelled our bounceback trip the morning of due to illness and rescheduled for November (same offer). All we had was a change fee - so yes the same penalties apply.

Keep in mind that for visa offers, you must have the card in hand. No card info will be given over the phone by Chase.

I understand this. Thank you. I am looking for the future.

Hi! Long time reader/follower of DISboards. First time poster. I've been following this one with great interest like so many others. I've got a package booked for August for my son and I which includes the dining plan. Our check in day is August 15 at POR for 14 nights. Is there ANY hope at all that the free dining could include mid August or should I give up hoping? We are going anyway but dang, free dining for that two weeks would be such a treat!

Based on the RUMORED dates Joe posted, no, however, anything's possible.
