Check out Carribean Beach, :thumbsup2we loved it there when we stayed several years ago. We are a value family now. We book 2 rooms at POP and upgrade to the DDP, it does it's job since we are only there to sleep and it saves us money at the same time:goodvibes and our grandkids really love the activities at the pool when we take time to hang out at the resort.

I've looked at CBR, but some of the reviews scare me! The pool looks great, but I keep reading that the rooms are old and smell musty. And they have double beds... :worried: We stayed at Pop last Sept, and my girls (3 & 4) loved it! We found the room a little small, but for the amount of time we were actually in the room, it wasn't such a big deal. I figure, if I'm gonna be in a room with double beds, might as well stay at the newer, cheaper resort (Pop).
Or maybe I'll just keep my fingers crossed that something at POR is available once FD is released! :o

I have a question about split stays and FD. Assuming that your entire stay falls during a FD promotion, how does the ticket situation work? For example, if I’m staying 8 nights and want 5 days of park tickets, will a split stay be treated like two completely different stays (like hotel & 3-park day tickets, check out and then new hotel and 2-day park tickets) or do they book it under one master reservation where you can buy all 5 park day tickets with the multiple day-discount (does what I’m asking make sense?)

Also, would someone be kind enough to post which resorts are typically included in FD?

To qualify for FD you have to book a room for a minimum of 3 nights with two day tickets. You can get 3 days of tickets on 1 ressie and then 2 day on the other ressie and qualify for FD but that will be more expensive than getting one reservation with 5 day tickets because the more days you buy the less expensive it is. (5day tix=304 or 2 day 188 + 3 day 274= 462). Hope that didn't confuse you :confused3

Ok another question, if they do announce for DV holders, I've applied, been accepted just haven't received the card yet. What do I need to do to take advantage of the deal? Especially if I don't have the card when they offer it. And do I need to have used the card first? And we have 2 rooms booked, one for me, my husband and daughters, one for my in-laws. My mother in law paid the deposits on both rooms, will I still be able to get free dining for everyone or just our room??

Of course now comes the harder part, trying to nail down the dates...specifically when it will end. I feel it will start around the 29 or 30, but will it run to the 17th or will it go on to the 24th? If it's out there somewhere, I'll do my best to find it. If not, we will know promptly at 7am Monday. :thumbsup2

ok, so we are planning on checking on 9/27. do you think this date won't be included in this first release. I was hoping that since F&W starts a week earlier this year we would be ok with this date. do you think it will even be included at all or blacked out?:confused3

ok guys..........y'all want to know how dumb I am:crazy:
The reason the king beds were showing not available is because I was trying to book with 2 adults and 2 kids! :lmao:
Of course they are not going to let 2 adults + 2 kids in a king room!:faint:
But I was finding no availability for ALL standard rooms and my party fits into a standard room

you will need to have the card in hand to get the 3 day advance booking if there is one and can book up to 3 rooms for FD and will need to put an additional $200 deposit/room on the Disney Visa card.

When I got my Disney Visa cards I received them about 10 days after applying; when did you apply?

Quick question for all of a You that have booked FD online before: where exactly does it dhow an option to book free dining? Is it the same page that has the mm option now? So like You act as if your just normally booking and the option and details appear there? This is our first trip so not sure what to expect.

Question: Our family hopes to stay in POR but NEED Alligator Bayou (sleeps 5 since my DD is small). If FD is released, and available for POR will the CM be able to tell me if the promo is "attached" to an AB room or another?
(Never stayed at AB before, always traveled with more than 5 so we just got 2 connecting rooms when we stayed on site.)

and us! We hit 152 days today and made a 22 wk paper chain countdown to mark the occasion :artist:

I thought we were the only "cornballs" who did this! We do a paper chain (daily) once we hit 100 days. I have my DD helping or else there is no way I'd be putting together 100 paper links!

I'm going to crunch through some data and come back with a date range. Be back in a few.

That is one option. The other would be that DV advance offer would be available this Thursday and out to the general public on Monday. There is also the possibility that Disney Visa holders will not get any advance offer at all and it will just go live to everyone at the same time.

Last year the 9/2 thru 9/25 offer was offered to DV holders on Monday, May 6th and went live to the general public on Thursday, May 9th but when the extended offer that covered 9/29 thru 12/22 (with blackout dates) came out on 8/1 the DV holders got no advance offer, it went live to everyone at the same time.

If FD came out Thurs for Visa, and Mon for Gen Pop, then it means that Visa holders not ONLY get a head start, it means that they have the option to compare the MM discount with FD and choose accordingly, while the general public does not.

VISA holders is intended to be a perk, but getting BOTH a head start AND the ability to choose discounts is one heck of a pair of perks. More likely to me, the VISA discount would only be a head start and not the overlap of promotions.

Also, if we are looking at Disney handing out OT to CMs as a prognosticator, I would think that they'd need OT for VISA as well: it will still be a spike in phone calls.

So, it seems to me that Monday will be the earliest FD is offered to anybody and the question is whether Monday will be general release or to VISA holders as a lead up to general release on Thurs of next week.

Here's a question, although I'm sure I already know the answer...

We got a PIN code awhile back for a % off our room. If we get free dining, we lose the PIN code discount, right? Can't have the PIN code and free dining?

It was last week that I got a call confirming my app and told me I was approved, on Thursday 4/10

That is correct, you can only take advantage of one offer at a time.:thumbsup2

Correct. You can only use one discount, so you'll have to run the numbers to see which works best for you.

What is the extra $200 deposit for? Even if we paid the $200/room already?
