SOOO excited! Just got CSR Nov 20-29, water view with the free dining! In about 12 minutes total spent on the phone! Woo Hoo!!:yay:

This gives me hope!! Those are the exact dates I am hoping to book in a Mod. when the GP offer is released!!
In an earlier post, someone said that all mods were booked for those dates, so he/she booked Pop.

Has anyone booked a Cars suite? I don't have a Visa so I have to wait awhile still... We already booked with a pin but fd saves us more money than the pin.

Trying to determine a back up plan in case we can't get Cars. POFQ was our back up. (If we can't get cars! I'm not interested in the other suites I'm only paying those crazy prices so my six year old can be in a cars room!). Now I'm looking at other choices.

we got nemo but cars was available.. ? hope you get it, mine love Nemo more than Cars

Yes, we were able to this morning.

Just a random question for someone with DVC experience. We're planning our Dec trip to Disney and have been looking in to the DVC rentals. We were trying to figure out if we should go ahead and rent points for a stay at a deluxe level resort and add on the dining package OR book a moderate resort direct through Disney with Free Dining. Turns out the DVC point rental is only $270 more for the identical package but with deluxe accommodations (Animal Kingdom). So my question is this....if I can rent points at any time in any deluxe level resort (where available of course), why don't more people do this? Am I missing something? Is there a distinct disadvantage to doing this? Or maybe people just aren't aware of DVC rentals?

I just want to make sure I'm not missing any major red flags.

Thanks for any feedback you have to share:goodvibes

I know that Free Dining requires a ticket purchase, but what if you have an annual pass? Can you still get free dining if you are an annual passholder??

I'm so confused. Do I need the pin to book the offer or can I call and try to book it without it? I called chase yesterday and got the number but I haven't been e-mailed a pin.

Does the pin matter?

No need for an email, pin, or code number. Call and tell the CM you want to make a reservation for Free Dining with your Disney Visa.

hahaha but that's only 17 more days!!!!! I am just waiting for the official Disney calendar to release for the whole trip so I can compare it to the TA ones floating around to be sure the ADRs I have won't change. I've had those settled for a couple of months already. Kind of a planner. :confused3 I would laugh if we end up at a meal together.

I too, am a big planner, but I'm stymied this time around. Last trip we did all the high demand ADR's, like BOG, CRT, ohana, etc., and this time we want to shake it up a bit. The kiddos will still want a few character meals, so we will probably revisit Chef Mickeys. I'd like to try Garden Grill, whispering canyon, Kona Cafe, captains grill, California grill, 50's Prime Time, Sanaa, Beaches n cream, Restaurant Marakesh...too long of a list!!!. That is why I am so excited about the prospect of free dining. It opens up a lot of freedom to be able to try things that you haven't done before, with less risk of being unhappy with the choice.

Good luck getting everything you want :-)

You don't need a pin. Just call and ask for the DV free dining promotion.

There are different codes for different things. That's why I HATE when people start passing codes around because it just gets people worried. If it doesn't say 'free' on it I'm assuming you upgraded your dining plan instead of taking the one that said free, which is also why your code is different.

Yup, that's what I figured. Not worried, just stating a fact. :goodvibes

FD requires park tickets - the room discount allows for ticketless packages.

Noooo. Got FD, did NOT have to purchase park tickets. I specifically asked because that was my understanding too, but I was told "nope - don't have to purchase tickets."

That would be highly unusual

Edit: Straight from the terms: A 3 night minimum stay (14 night maximum) and two day minimum park ticket is required for each person in the party.

I emailed my travel agent about the free dining and she's been on the phone with disney for sometime now. I do not have a disney visa, but curious to see if they let her re-vamp my vacation plans to get free dining. Any one book with a TA and no visa?

The only reason I am against doing it is because you do not get daily maid service and you have to pay extra for fresh towels otherwise you reuse them. I forget how often they refresh your towels. When I am on vacation I don't want to make the bed and I like coming back to a straightened up room. It is just my personal preference.

I got thru at 8:31 AM CST, I haven't received an email yet nor has anything updated in MDE. Should I call back?? I gave my DV card number and he said everything is confirmed. Should I just chill until this afternoon????? :headache:

Has anyone booked AOA suite with 2 adults and 2 children and upgraded to deluxe dining and care to share what their cost was????
