Free Dining 2014 Discussion ~ Part 2

what i find interesting is that it was easier to book dining reservations for Oct. 26, 27, 28 and 29 this morning than it was to book them Oct. 20-25....

go figure. i probably will hold onto my reservations in cases there is a chance additional dates are added when there are the mass cancellations for those that booked in mid Oct. on the assumption there would be FD.

Sigh....kids alarms for school go off in 10 mins....was hoping to be done by that time, 2 hrs after calling in!!! Still smiling...and DH can get bfast for them and get them off to school!

No need to worry about Pop being booked before 5/7. My TA assured me that they give out certain amount of rooms for the visa offer and another block of rooms for the general public. I am also waiting until 5/7 for the general public offer. THANKFULLY I do not have to call and wait on hold like most of you are doing. I don't have time for all that or the patience! My TA will do that for me and send me an email when she is done. This is another reason why I book through an agency that only books Disney vacations.

Ok good. Like I said before I don't usually worry about POP but with POR being excluded one never knows.

Ok so I'm not picky when it comes to a resort (want value though)...so at this point what are my chances? I'm getting nervous because I haven't even gotten on hold yet! I keep getting "all circuits are busy". I've been at work since 730 and I'm pretty sure I'm going to do nothing today but continue to call disney!!!!

I got it!!! And confirmed that POR is definitely excluded. I got POP 9/20-9/27 upgrade dining, added my flight info and added my MM back on.

That's our exact dates and resort too! So happy to be back at Pop that I'm not even thinking about how much more it cost me than POR would have. haha!!

I am still hoping for POR to open up since we are a party of 5 but if not happy here been wanting to stay here since it opened. We usually go over Labor Day week but trying this week hoping the weather isn't as hot. Plus going to Halloween party and hopefully the first Holiday Party.

Just did the math and now I'm sad that for 1500 more we could have stayed the whole week. This year we're staying prior to our cruise and the 3 night room/tickets/fding are costing us just slightly less over what we normally pay for 8 nights. I guess the longer you stay the cheaper it is ticket wise and that's where most of the reservation money goes.
