No, you can pay it off with any other form of payment. The balance does not have to be paid with the DV.

I'm sure things will be crazy tomorrow whether the wait times are long or short.

Tomorrow should be really interesting around here. Can't wait to see how this goes tomorrow. popcorn::
Good luck to everyone calling tomorrow. May your wait times be short and your ressies all that you want them to be. pixiedust:

Need a bit of help here. I've decided to book 2 value rooms (spending the rest of the day figuring out which resort). My husband and I are are going with our DD and her BFF who are both 18. We've travelled all together a lot and think that we'd prefer separate rooms for 10 days.... Too squishy. Now, would we all be on the same reso? Would our dining plans be linked? We want to upgrade our plan to the regular but I'm not sure if I wanted to upgrade the girls or leave them on the quick service as they're not sit down people. Do I have that choice when we're in separate rooms? If I have to upgrade them, can we use some of their table service meals? Thanks for the responses!

It's two separate rooms so just tell them you want one upgraded to regular dining and one just for quick service. They'll be able to do it.

You have 2 options:

If you want one reservation number and everyone's dining credits pooled, you would have to list the girls as 17 on the reservation. Then everyone's DDP credits would be the same, as everyone on a single reservation will have identical package components.

Or you can list them as 18 and you will automatically have 2 separate reservations and each room would/could have their own dining and package components. You can still have the reservations linked and still get connecting rooms, but a third adult (18 and over) will automatically separate it into 2 separate reservations.

I don't know about anyone else, but personally I would not go with option 1 since it involves dishonesty.

Can someone help me with a question about FD? We are booked for August but thought about booking in September when FD came out, my question is is FD that much of a savings over the 30% off? I think i did the math correctly and FD only saves me aroun $200.00, I this correct? Me, wife, 17 and 16 on the plan.

I take it you're looking at a deluxe resort. If that's the case, many times a deluxe resort with a discount can be less or comparable to free dining. If you've done the math correctly, then your answer is correct. It's all up to you, but in August you don't have a free dining option anyway.

If they're both 18 and they don't want to upgrade the dining plan, you would want it as their own resie as in option 2.

reservations/remaining balance still not loading...
come on Disney IT... I pay you big bucks... in a way.

I have to wait for my TA to do it Thursday. :( This is the first time I have done a WDW trip with TA. Not liking lack of control. Has anyone used Its a Small World agency? Are they quick about hoping on promos? Already sent email with heads up (acted like she did not know-maybe she didn't) saying we want it and to upgrade to dining. Hope I find out fast that all is set!

I used Small World and my agent was on vacation in Hawaii when FD began for my December 2012 dates. She called on day #1 and got it for me despite being off! Hope you get it!!!

Yes we are booked at the CR in August but when reading about FD we thought about rebooking in September for the savings if it was worth it. i think we saved around 800.00 with the 30% discount compared to the 1080.00 for the dinning. maybe a little more savings but not enough to to change our reservation.

If you are willing to change dates, just ask Disney to do the math for you. They can give you exact quotes on both options and then you can decide.
