Yes it's a must. And it's a snack credit. Try the pineapple vanilla swirl. Very good and refreshing.

I will be trying my first one in October. My one girlfriend goes every year and looks forward to them. I can't wait to try 1 or 5 :)

The bedroom in the AOA suites have one queen size bed. That is the only value resort room category that has a queen size bed, all other value resort rooms have full size beds.

They're on the pricier side though aren't they? That's why we went with POFQ because it was actually cheaper.

planning on going Sept. 14- 24th! This is only my second trip and first time staying on property :) I have a few questions! 1. should i book now with a TA and let them worry about the FD or should i just wait and do it myself (I am DV card holder)? 2. we want to stay at POR do you think i will have a problem getting a room and is that the best moderate resort to stay at? 3. planning on doing MNSSHP what night do you think will be less crowded Tues. 9/17 or Fri 9/20. Thanks in advance!! One day i hope to be answering other peoples questions just like all of you!

So when's everyone planning to go? I'm planning on September 6-14 and my dining reservations have already been made.

Arriving on Sep 12 & staying through the 20th (or possibly the 21st) at POR. Looks like our visits overlap by a couple of days so wave or stop to say hello when you pass by. :wave2:
All ADRs made & also ressie for BBB for the 14th (granddaughter's 4th birthday).
Hoping that I will be one that will be able to post on Monday morning that FD offer is indeed open to DRV card holders.
Am so excited about this trip - have to keep reminding myself it is still way too early to start packing! :rotfl2:

Thank you for all your help, Black. You and Danny25 rock!

I would go ahead and make your reservation now and call when FD offer is available to have that discount applied to your ressie.
I haven't been to the MNSSHP yet, but I would think that Tuesday would be less crowded than Friday as it is during the school/work week rather than on the weekend. That's when we're planning on going anyway.

Edit: Misread your question. Please disregard.

Yay, I'll be the one wearing red. Don't worry, can't miss it. Lol

Thanks so much Joe and PlutosPalForever! I just booked flights for 2 families who were on the fence about booking flights until FD was confirmed. SW has an amazing deal on September flights right now and they were leery about booking flights until today's news came out.

Now....just waiting until we can book the actual FD offers! :rolleyes1

Just booked all of our dining reservations except two today!!! Still need to wait till next week to book our vacation package but I'm pretty excited we could get everywhere we wanted for our dining choices. :)

We have Cape May Cafe, Akershus Royal Banquet, Crystal Palace, Hollywood & Vine and Rainforest Cafe all for dinners. One lunch scheduled for Tusker House.

We still need to add one more ts at MK and one more ts when we decide which park we're going to for a second trip.

Akershus' will be our first day in a park and my dd's 5th birthday! Hoping she will be as excited as I think she will.

Any thoughts, opinions or tips on our choices? We've done CP, RFC and H&V in the past.

I found this on mousesavers.com -

Pre-order your Walt Disney World PhotoCD and save $50! (savings compared to purchasing photopass at WDW)

PhotoCD only includes photos taken after purchase of this offer. Photos within your Disney’s PhotoPass account prior to this purchase are not included. The pre-order creates a credit for the CD in your PhotoPass account. If you change your mind after pre-ordering (for example, if you don’t have enough good photos on your PhotoPass account to make the CD worthwhile to you, or you just change your mind), you can get a full refund within 90 days of the pre-purchase, as long as you have not actually ordered the CD.

I can't link the web address as I haven't made 10 posts [yet], but if you go to mousesavers dot com, you can find the link to preorder (the 2nd link listed shows the offers for both photopass & photopass plus).

Hi! Quick question - we are booked at BC from 9/20-9/28, Club Level in a Deluxe room....does anyone know if those are usually included in FD, or excluded?

We're a family of 5 and it's our first trip for all but me (I did College Program Summer of '92) so we wanted to go big. Of course FD would be a very, very, nice savings for us, but not a deal breaker.

Thanks in advance for the response...this place is wonderful!

Remember guys, on both the visa and public release days, we will all be in here posting hold times, if anything is sold out, what we end up booking, dates, etc... The wait on hold can seem like an eternity, so feel free to post about it and we will all share together. Plus, if anything is booked for a certain date range, it will allow those still on hold to adjust their room or resort requests accordingly before they are on with a CM.

Cheers!!! :thumbsup2

It already feels like I'm on hold! Ha!

We just went in April for our first time and I am pulling numbers to head back in September. I would love to go for FD and to see MNSSHP.

I just feel like I'm on hold the whole time I'm not at Disney....it's just one big long hold wait until the next trip.

The CMs love me. When they pick up, they just get: "I need a room for Sept. 6-14 at POR for a party of two with 8 day hoppers on the free dining promotion please." :cool1:

We're planning on going to Epcot on the 1st day of the F&WF. My 15 yr old son has wanted to be a chef since age 4; he takes culinary classes & plans to go to Valencia in Orlando for their culinary program, hoping even to get a job/internship at Disney; he loves to cook & sample foods so he's uber-excited about it.

We're not doing any big events there for the F&WF, but at least he'll get to be in the atmosphere and sample some foods 'round the world.

In doing some research, I understand that snack credits are good towards *some* of the food samplings at the Epcot Food & Wine Festival?

Is this true, and anyone know how does that work? Do they give you a list (I assume some might cost more than 1 snack credit, some things might not be offered at all, etc.)? Because if that's the case with free dining I'll save almost all of them for that day, lol.
