Staying 4 nights. The room would be about $100 more. The tickets would be about $190. I figure about $100 for food/drinks per day but I drink alcohok and that is not covered by dining plan anyway

Hi Minnie. Just offering some help. It looks like a 4 night stay at an All-Star standard with 2 basic tickets with free dining QS would run about $707.62 including tax. Add $72 to upgrade to plus (basic, regular) dining. If you travel Sept 13 or before the cost would be even less.

Compare this with the cost of your RO discount plus look at the places you want to eat each day and the approximate daily cost.

Your right, sometimes the numbers do not work in favor of free dining. And with your RO discount and AP, this might be one of those times. Good luck. There is a side a me that has always wanted to do a solo trip to Disney:wave

Woohoo! Got FD for 9/20-9/26!! Staying at AsMo. So I want to have a pencil case full of lime green Mickey head vinyls for all my DIS peeps and a log book for people to sign. Will this get stolen? I also wanted to decorate for Halloween. Too early?

I'll be at ASSp 9/20-9/28 and will probably decorate our window for Halloween since we're going to MNSSHP! I think it's fine since they're having the parties
Not sure about your book getting stolen. I guess it just depends on whether or not any a-holes come along.

Yeah I'm going for the bounceback too. I think, if I get it, I may book CBR. It was my first Disney resort I stayed at, and only stayed there once. I think after 18 years, it's time to go back. My plan is to return from this trip with a trip booked for next year for me and a dear friend. I want to get a postcard from that resort and hand it to her when I get back....just have it say "you and I booked at CBR - list the dates". I think that would bring tears to anyone's eyes...I just hope it works out. This would be her "I beat cancer" trip....so good karma should be with me.

That is such a wonderful thing you're doing for your friend.

I think for the most part, 90% chance, they will not get stolen, but I am sure there a few (what Amber said). Love the idea about decorating window! Will have to do that! We are going to MNSSHP on the 24th.

Okay DISers I have a WWYD question.

I am currently booked at GF for 8/26-9/2. I got an amazing deal but it doesn't include any dining. It will be 5 of us and staying at the GF would never be a reality without this deal. Of course I got the PIN for FD and my TA is going to check the price of POR and AoA for me. I know POR will come out a little less than what I'm paying for GF, and AoA will come out a little more. We can afford to stay with the GF and pay OOP for our food, but I love to save money! This is only our 2nd trip and may be our last for awhile.
What would you guys do?

We've stayed at GF once, DH surprised me with a trip there back when we only had 2 kiddos because I love Victorian style design. It was definitely a beautiful resort, and very convenient with the monorail and 2 kids in strollers. That said, I doubt we'd ever stay there again. I just can't justify the cost for as little as we are in a room. Not sure if they've redone anything there since then (2004) but when we were there they really had no food court-just a very small mini mart type place. So we pretty much had to make sure we ate at the parks unless we wanted to wait at a table service. We've done POR several times (staying there again this trip) and we love it. Haven't tried AoA yet.

Us too! Yeah I will probably make tons. I thought it would be neat since its adhesive vinyl people could put it on their water bottle etc. I plan on making an autograph book too for fellow DISers to sign. Just curious how many I could get!

So, no more lime green Mickey heads. Hmm, maybe we could get some adhesive-backed colored paper, cut out our own Mickey heads & stick them to a badge/button/pin thingy?

1. With the PIN offer we will be going 11-30-12-8. Would the free dining carry through til the 8th or would we have 4 days with no dining?

2. This is out of curiosity and only if we can't use all the ts credits. If we are lucky enough to get free dining for our time we are thinking about upgrading to the DXDP. Can you use ts credits as qs credits? I know it wouldn't be the best use of the credits but was just curious.

As long as your check in date falls within the FD promo dates, you can apply the FD discount for your entire stay.

The upgrade cost for the deluxe plan is about $45 per person, per night, which, to me, kind of negates the savings of the free dining discount. On the deluxe plan all dining credits are interchangeable. Of course, we love the regular DDP, but are not fans of the deluxe plan and I think the Quick Service is just a wash in terms of value - of course if its free, it's a value then

We're doing 2 2-TS credit meals (CRT & Mickey's Backyard BBQ) on the DDP. We'll be doing QS meals only a couple of days to make up for them.
At $45/person/night to upgrade to deluxe, I think you'd probably be better off paying for an extra TS meal or 2 for around $30 each per person.

I am already booked for FD in September, when my family is traveling to Disney World. I received a promotional e-mail yesterday (and my wife got the same one with different pin) for the extended FD days.

Here's the thing, my bosses boss at work is going to Disney in October and didn't get one of these pins. It would probably be good if I could help her get FD in October - can I share my pin? Would Disney approve it? I don't want to send my boss's boss to sit on hold with a CM and not get anything in the end... any thoughts? Super big thanks in advance for an answer and really sorry if this has been asked already.

I can certainly use a FD PIN, for late August. Been unemployed for the last two years, but still hoping to be able to make a trip with my wife and our son who is 5 years old.

Would be great if the FD PINs can be transferred somehow. Appreciate your kindness.

No, pin codes are name specific and non-transferrable.

I suspected I probably couldn't do anything but I figured if there was a way, the helpful people on this board would know!

Hope everyone who needs the pins get the pins - it seems a waste to send me a pin when I'm already booked - especially when someone else could use it!
