Free Dining 2013 Part 2 ~ The Sequel

I called this morning and changed our trip to September so that we could take advantage of definite FD and the CM I talked to today said there is no way of knowing if there will be another FD offer this year or not. She said it's a definite possibility. Why can't they all just get the story straight? I switched to September anyway because we've never been at that time of year and we're extremely flexible. The $600 difference between the package I booked yesterday and the FD package I booked today was VERY nice.

Congrats! What dates?

Well just remember, there's a dock on the left and a dock on the right. We call that a paradox.

Be sure to lower your head and watch your step. If you can't do that, at least lower your voice and watch your language.

:rotfl2: I love this. I will remember to say this as we walk by Jungle Cruise. I am also very sad that it will be closed for our visit.

Yea! for your trip. And Yea! for Free Dining!!! I love going in September; you have a lot more elbow room.;)

I was just over at another board looking for trip reports (the one I found was the first one I have ever read) and I cannot believe how miserable people can be! Good Lord they complained because some parents did not give their kids veggies (the parents kids not the reviewer)! I think I have been scared off of them for life! Based on that I would never go to WDW and this person goes A LOT! SMH

Sorry for the vent!

We won't go to Disney with people that have kids under a certain age (unless they are willing to take the poor child back to the room for a nap when they cry) bc so many people yell at their child bc they're tired or don't want to walk. We smile and say "Look hunny, another Happy Child"

No you misunderstand. :). They were not traveling together. They were complete strangers. There was no yelling. The reviewer was annoyed that at dinner he saw a family eating and the parents did not offer veggies to their kids. So he complained about it in TR!

It's vacation!:ccat:

And on a side note: I have taken all my kids at a very young age, but you have to be willing to do Disney a little differently. We could start a whole other thread on that...lol. This is why I am in so desperate need of an adult Disney trip:crazy2:

Bahaha, veggies on vacation? You're kidding, right? LOLOLOL.

Last time I was there, we ate nothing but sugary-sweets and drinks. So incredibly bad, but it's vacation!

I have a feeling all my future children will come home in sugar comas after each trip to Disney...

Side note- Any one know if it's in bad taste to call and check PIN/discount codes once a day? I kind of want them to know I'm REALLY hunting for a deal to make me write on stone now, hah.

I would not call it bad taste; I would call it persistence. Besides, it is not like you will speak to the same CM everyday and I believe that is in their job description.;)
You're the customer, they should be happy to fulfill that simple request.:genie:
You never know when your wish will be granted!

With my luck, never, HAHA. :worried: But I never give up without a fight!
Aaaaaand I'm calling them now.
See, this is what happens when I find a board that supports the Disney-crazed-person inside me. Eat, sleep, breathe Disney.

What?!?! Who in the world has time to worry about another strangers family on there vacation.:confused:

To each, their own IMHO! You never know if that child had tons of veggies before they got to the restaurant?

I read some of the travel reviews as well on trip advisor and I have decided that we are just so happy to be on vacation it has to be REALLY bad for us to complain about something.;) Some folks I think always look for the negative! Life's too short.

LOL
we have a parent grading system we like to use for parents.

a day one parent - the kids have ears, candy at 10 am and everyone is happy

day 2 parent - parents are getting a little annoyed

day 4 parent - parents are screaming at the kids, saying no to candy, and the aggravated look is now permanent.

day 5 parent - kids are now being pulled by ears, arms, and being told "that's it! never again!" LOL

my daughter and I will go thru the park and say yep " look there is a day 5!! , so funny ....

PS... this doesn't apply to us grandparents, we have raised our kids and the grandkids get what they want when they want and we love it!!!
