Free Dining 2008 Watch

I called this afternoon and was able to book 4 standard rooms @ POP with free DDP for a Grand Gathering and had no problem at all. I think they've got quite a few rooms set aside for this promo. Keep in mind though that our dates are the first week it's available and the dates towards the end of the promo seem to be filling up a lot faster. I was also pleasantly surprised at being able to secure ADRs for a party of 10 at some of our first choices.

on friday, i thought i would try to get a disney visa card and see if i could avoid waiting until thursday....well, after NUMEROUS phone calls, rushed applications and approvals and overnite airmail rush of my new card I GOT IT!!!!! I used it today to book for 9-2 to 9-10 at POP with free dine,,,I am so excited that it worked!!

I got the Free Dining email from Disney Visa on Monday at 2:35...

okay call me a dumb blonde if you will but I have to ask just to ask, What exactly is the free dining...does this mean just the dinner time (night) is free. I am excited to hear of this discount but not sure how excited I should be..

Can anyone fill me in on a little more detail..something about credits but what kind of credits. HELP!

The short and sweet of it is...Free Dining is the actual Disney Dining plan that WDW typically charges $37.99 pp (less for kids) each day for FREE during this certain promo time. It includes a counter service, a table service and two snacks for each person that stays on property and has tix for the park.

To correct Doodlesmom...It's one table service, one counter service and only one snack per person/per day. You must purchase a MYW package to get free dining. This includes staying at a Disney resort and purchasing at least a one day MYW park pass for each member in your party. (If you don't have an annual pass, you'll need to purchase passes for each day you want to be in a park.)

Many Thanks to the link....you all have been so helpful..I'm hoping that my girl at Dreams Unlimited will jump on this....we made reservations at Poly for aug 24-28 back in March and low and behold the dates are just perfect. This is my first time back to Disney since 1983 so you can only imagine how "out of the loop" I have been. 1st time for the kids (6,5) and 1st 'World' trip for the hubby. So needless to say I've been giving myself a crash course on Disney everything...I am so freaked out..height requirement , stroller no stroller, clothes to bring, when to take nap.....UGH!!!!

When was the last time you stayed at Disney? I am asking because I haven't seen that offer for the last few years but maybe I missed it. I believe they used to do a similar deal in August/September years ago as well sometime before 2005

I also remember that deal. We stayed in Disney Aug 2003 and it was a deal like...pay for 4 stay for 8.....or pay for 5 stay for 8. It was a good deal, but it can't compare to free dining. Wish us luck getting through and getting what we need today!!!!

No. Guests have to meet ALL conditions of the offer in order to qualify for the benefits - in this case, purchase a Magic Your Way Package with park admission for each person on your reservation.

I also think thak Disney should answer the 877-939-3732 number faster since that's the one THEY have to pay for......just a thought

Since the charges don't start UNTIL somebody answers the phone, there's NO valid reason why Disney should answer it at all. NO Disney toll-free number was EVER intended for use by the general public - Disney's marketing is so effective/successful that they don't need to provide a toll-free number - and the more often (and boldly) the numbers that have leaked out via the Internet are posted, the faster Disney will shut off additional lines.
