Free Dining 2008 Watch

To Paparazzimama,

According to MouseSavers:

"There's a new twist for 2008: you can choose the regular Dining Plan (one counter service meal, one table service meal and one snack, per person, per day) at no extra charge, or upgrade to the Deluxe Dining Plan for just $32 per adult per night and $10 per child age 3-9 per night. (This represents the usual price difference between the two plans.)"

And I thought I saw an earlier post that also said they upgraded for $32.

I only opted for 1 day passes as we already have non-expiring tickets with 5 days left, except for DS3 because he wasn't 3 when we were there 4 weeks ago. I'm still debating on how to handle his ticket situation.:confused3
You can upgrade his 1-day pass to a 5 day pass at any Guest Services window :). You may even be able to do it at the front desk.

Congratulations to all of you DV card holders that were able to get your free dining!!! :cool1:  :cheer2: :woohoo: :yay:

I actually have a special request for you guys - for those of us anxiously waiting for Thursday morning, could you please post where you are booked and for what dates? And if you're feeling really generous :flower3: can you also share with us the size of your party and how much your package was. Like for us, we're a family of 4 (2 adults, 2 children) that are wanting to get free dining with an upgrade to deluxe so I am really curious as to how much extra that is. :) Anyhoo, any and all info is much much appreciated!!! :goodvibes

We are booked in the Wilderness Lodge, courtyard view w/ bunk beds. My kids can't wait. We are a family of four (2 adults, 2 children). We have annual passes so we just had to buy a 1 day MYW ticket. Our package was 2,754.

We thought abot upgrading but thought it was too much food. Also, didn't like the idea of spending that much time eating and not playing.

We are a party of 5 -- 2 adults and three children. We are booked for 8 nights September 13th - 21st in two connecting rooms at Pop Century.
We bought 10 day no expiration Water park and More passes with our package. We will use the extra days next year in conjunction with our Disney cruise. Total package cost was $4163.
Keep in mind ours had extra costs because we bought the 10 day no expiration and got the trip insurance.

Congratulations to all of you DV card holders that were able to get your free dining!!! :cool1:  :cheer2: :woohoo: :yay:

anyone know if they are offering it to the fort wilderness campgrounds. My mom and dad are camping there (they are huge campers) and i was just wondering if they would be eligable.

NOt from NC here, from Mass! ,,mm your closer to Bonnaroo than me :O. Got our Port Orleans Alligator Bayoou for 9/9 to 9/17 :D, FD, got to book both couples on my visa WOOT! and Flights still the same. Jetblue tue or wed is still 79$ a person each way :), wow I wish I knew last time, when I went on Saturday where I paid more for 2 people than it is costing for 4 people round trip! It's doubley fun going with a couple who has never been to disney, excited to WoW them with all that there is to do <eg>, and since we know the ins and outs of travel(boat at Port O makes a huge differance!) and what's what, I know we can maximize their 1st stay ... wooot! I wish it was during Food and Wine, but 600$ savings isn't worth giving up for much in this world :O (made me think though!)

I'm from Mass too!!!! :cool1:

I am staying at AKL and anxiously awaiting FD for Aug 28th until Sept 1st. It will just be two of us going! And it will be the first time going (and flying!) for DBF!:dance3:

Yes they are offering if you are staying in the cabins, no if you are staying in your own set-up.

Hi! We are booked from 9/5-9/14 at POFQ. There are 4 [all adults] and our package was $3180 for hotel, 10 MYW Hopper with WFM and free dining. We can't wait! Good luck Thursday!:wizard:

Please if you would all be so kind. I have 3 adults and I junior and 1 Child! Help if you can! I can't wait til 7am Thurs! I was up early on Monday for no reason just wanted to watch these boards! LOL! :cool1: :lmao:

From what I can see the codes will be the ones originally quoted (incorrectly) for Disney Visa holders. Both The Mouse For Less and WDW Info are listing the code as AYG for Free Dining (AYI for Deluxe, AYH for Wine and AYJ for Deluxe plus Wine).

I would log on on Thursday morning to see if those codes have been updated.

From what I have read on this thread, only the grumpiest of CMs seem to insist on a code if you tell them you are booking Free Dining.

Actually if they are different at 12pm on Wednesday( Technically Thursday) they should be up here they were for Visa! :)

Hi -

We are also staying at POFQ. Are you checking out on 9/14? (9 nights?) What is WFM? We are on the bounce-back free dining. For my DH and I, we are paying $2,890.36 for 9/3-9/16 (13 nights). We have 10 days of park passes with the Hopper option.

I was wondering if TS meals can only be used at TS locations or if they can be used as CS meals? I think they could last year, but I haven't seen anything saying that that has been continued with the 2008 DDP.

Thanks!

My understanding....TS credits can only be used at Table Service locations. However, you can use your TS credit for lunch, dinner or breakfast (at any TS location that serves these meals...some don't serve breakfast). For example, you can eat lunch at Le Cellier but you'll have to use a TS credit to do so. Hope this helps.

Another Cape Codder here...we're heading to POP 8/26-8/30, myself and two 11 year olds. Four nights, 1-day tickets for each of us (we have tickets already for some and will upgrade as needed): $600.95 -- airfare is $220 RT NS right now, so I'm thinking I better get that booked and great times: arrive MCO at 10:15 am on Tuesday and we wouldn't fly out until 7:30 pm on Saturday night, that's what I call a full 5 days!

Water that money tree baby:rotfl2:

ANXIOUSLY awaiting Thursday....took the day off work to be up and ready to call!!!! Already have reservations for CBR for Sept. 13th-20th~Mother(63) and Daughter (41) trip.....haven't seen many saying they've requested CBR...this is a good thing no?

I booked today

My friend has an AP and I need to buy passes

They told me we had to have one day purchased for each....even though she was a pass holder

He did tell me she could use the day towards her upgrade for next years AP or a park hopper for her next visit, which is what shes going to do

That is indeed true, last July when our renewal came around, we weren't planning on renewing, so we used the one day tickets, at the end of the day, we realized that the original CM on the phone had told us we could use it towards our renewal. We headed over to MK Town Hall, and after a fifteen minute conversation, the manager gladly allowed us to put them towards a renewal despite the fact that we had already used the day. :goodvibes

Now, as for a question, we currently have a reservation for a two-bedroom villa at OKW, two nights on points, three nights on cash. I'm fairly sure that they are booked as two reservations, as we received two seperate confirmations. Would we be able to add the free dining plan for the three nights on cash?
